  1. This itinerary is one my husband & I want to do.  It was a toss up between this itinerary & another.  We chose the other for 2020 , but I'm sure the next one we book will be out of San Juan, whether it's on the Fascination or if Carnival replaces it with another.  Thank you for your review!  You have shared a wealth of information!

  2. No. They do not sit outside Blue Kay and wait for people to leave. But all you have to do is tell your server or the front desk you are ready to go back to the port and they'll call for a taxi. Usually arrives within 5-10 minutes. No worries. :)[/quote

    Ok great! Thank you!

  3. We will be leaving April 30 on the Miracle out of Long Beach. First time in a long time leaving out of this area. I have a few questions:

    1. We'll be staying in Anaheim with a rental car prior to departure. I hope to drive to the port and drop the car somewhere nearby. Which rental car companies are nearby, or, will I need to drop at an airport and shuttle from there?
    2. Our check-in time is 2:00PM (ugh). My experience is some ports are strict about check in times and others are not. We could easily be at the port very early. Would we be wasting our time? Are they going to refuse to let us in if we're early?
    3. Post cruise, need to get down to SNA - suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm curious as to what means of transportation you used post cruise back to SNA. I'm looking into doing a cruise out of Long Beach, possibly flying into SNA instead of LAX. I could do LGB the day before cruise, but returning home, LGB doesn't work for me. We usually fly Southwest & LGB has 1 flight (southwest) in the a.m. to MSY. Thanks!

  4. Yeah, that 15 degree image looks about right. It felt like the 30 tho.

I can't even begin to imagine what you went through while this was happening. I was relieved to hear that no lives were lost.

Glad to hear you're not letting this stop you from cruising again. I'm one of those that would probably do the same. Even when viruses were going around on the ships, I told my husband, I would pack a bag in a heartbeat & not let this stop me from cruising. I know you can't compare those 2, totally different. I tell people I wouldn't mind booking a cruise during hurricane season, some look at me like I'm crazy. That's just me!

    Welcome back! :)
