whatever happened to this thread??
-
Sounds like there is plenty of parking. My family and I will be on the Fantasy in August and we drive in the day of the cruise. We don't arrive at the terminal until about 1-2PM so I was worried it might be full and that we need a 2nd option. Has anyone ever been turned away because it was full?
Not a chance in August. Fantasy is the only ship in town then.

Right around the corner and TONS more secure than the port parking...and cheaper!
Have fun!
Kari
Post number 1???
The official port parking is within the cruise port security zone. It is both lighted and patrolled and very secure.
MP parking is not right around the corner. It is on Jackson Ave.

AOL pictures bit the dust.
You can see the tour here:

On some ships it is Sur Mer and others it is Fish & Chips.
Only on Conquest is it called Sur Mer. On the other Conquest Class ships, it is called Fisn & Chips.
They are only found on Conquest class ships.
-
Sur Mer is Carnivalese for Fish & Chips
-
The soup is bouillabaisse.

Ok, rereading the thread, maybe there are 2 twins and an upper. That is a first for me...
Makes no sense to have 3 beds in a cabin limited to two, but whatever.
-
a few weeks ago some posted a pic of 6393 showing the twin beds!
If you are a member of cruisdeckplans/cruisestateroom.com you can see a pic of 6393 with two twin beds
Bring back pictures - an easy enough request to satisfy.
Personally, I would call Carnival and ask what the bedding configuration is. In this case, I would trust whatever Carnival said, over any Internet cruise website, including this one.

Big duck posted a picture of this cabin, which shows two twins. Post #3 here.

Im going to assume that big duck's picture is correct and not a copy and paste from somewhere.
Enjoy. The picture also shows the upper. Try getting Carnival to price 3 people in a 1a cabin.

I know that cabin 6393 has two twin beds. Saw pics of that particular cabin. I also booked this cabin for my Oct. cruise on the Freedom.
Bring back pictures ?
Cabin 6393 1A ISUL 185 sq ft
Beds: 1 twin-1 upper rab:0
View: no window or balcony
TV; telephone; 110 AC current; individual climate control; hair dryer wall safe; minibar; 3-closets; shower;
chair and coffee table

This was one picture. Will have to search for more.
Cabin 7347 on Valor. With the second bunk in the ceiling, there is more floor space.

Are you copying and pasting this from somewhere? I know on one of the cabins, I searched prior posts and seems like the earlier posts said upper and lower, and the posts within the last 12 months said two twins. Go by the more recent posts? Have you had this cabin on a Conquest class ship?
I booked 6393, since Iv seen pictures of it, felt safe. I have it on Conquest this Sept. (I have 2465 on the front part of the B2B).
Anyone with pics of the other higher deck 1As please post them. Im sorry but I dont know from seeing them.
I am copying and pasting from a Carnival website.
Conquest 6393 says:
Cabin 6393 1A ISUL 185 sq ft
Beds: 1 twin-1 upper rab:0
View: no window or balcony
TV; telephone; 110 AC current; individual climate control; hair dryer wall safe; minibar; 3-closets; shower;

I bet it is adjacent to a laundry room as well.
I have stayed in 7345 on Valor which was the same configuration and definitely was adjacent to a laundry room.

Cabin 8357 185 sq ft Beds: 1 twin-1 upper
Note: It is adjacent to a laundry room.

OMG!! This look so yummy!! What is it and is it near the beach area??
They are. It is a crepe with cheese or chocolate and there are a number of vendors. A US buck each, although next time I may ask if there is a quantity discount.
The carts are as close to the beach as they can get without climbing over the seawall. The locals love them, too.

I was just stating some facts, not criticising the place...
I too enjoy my travels. I am from the gulf of mexico in florida and the water is so green and beautiful , I was surprised to see it so choppy.
The water I have seen from Texas to the Florida panhandle all looks the same.
The beaches of Florida do have nice sand.
-
The water is the Gulf of Mexico, not the Caribbean. I, for one, am delighted that Progreso is NOT Cozumel. Then it would be a dump.

Thank you.
The cruise ship pier is long, but the bus rides to/from are free.
Mostly
There is a shopping area at the ships if you don't want to go into town, but youll miss so much if you don't
-
I love these - with cheese or chocolate. $1 each.
-
And the tour ONLY COSTS $2....
