My husband and I are currently sailing on the Celebrity Millennium 14 night from Tokyo to Vancouver BC. Quite a few gay couples on board.  Really only met one couple that wanted to be social and we had dinner with them one night. The others do not want to give you the time of day.  On the other hand we have met and made good friends with several different straight couples. Even had invites to stay in their homes that are in a different locations in the world.  I still do not understand why so many gay couples have a hair up their ass.

Cusp79 - Answer to your statement is... That is because they have their heads up their foxtrotting A holes just like some of the gays on the cruise we just departed.  - W T F :classic_biggrin:

Yup, the bottom must have fallen out bc tons of good sailings in March are already on a fire sale the likes I’ve not seen before this far in advance. My cruise dropped in price by about half and my flight also did too:

    - studio plus drinks, i paid 2100...now down to 800+ for a sail away inside.

    - flight, started at 950, I paid 750...And now its down to 350

I’m trying Not to be resentful and it’s a challenge.

Mark2000 - We are just off the NCL Encore Feb 9 -16.  Just getting home today - spent another week in sunny Florida.  The Encore was nice.  Crew was great!  Spoke with the Captain a few times.  The Haven was very nice.  I miss Christian the bartender in the Haven already.  They went through our passports with  a fine tooth comb - Looking at all the stamps making sure we were not in China.  I saw your posting regarding the Corona virus.  The Encore is a nice ship!  I hope the passenger that was dropped off in the Bahamas is alright.  Did not sound good.  Hope you have a great cruise in March.  I wish we were going again.  Hope you have a fun, safe trip!  -W T F

You've been to a few NCL FOD?  What did you think?

FOD with NCL is a good thing that they have them or offer them.  Nice way to meet other people.  It is a mixed bag.  One time I was late getting to the FOD meeting and my boyfriend made it there before me.  All of the guys at the FOD on that cruise hated me because they wanted my boyfriend.  It was worse than High School.  That was years ago.  Who knows.  They were a bunch of ugly people.  I still had a nice time on that cruise.  Princess cruises offers FOD too.  I tend to stick to the gym. Love working out on cruises.

  4. Yep, still on the cruise. Will be out in St. Pete the night before. I almost forgot that I had started this thread months ago. ha

Glad you are still on the cruise. It is getting closer. We will be in Clearwater and that is not far from St. Pete. This cruise is getting closer and closer. What are you guys doing in Costa Maya? We are going to Maya Chan Beach day resort.

  5. Yes, I agree that it would be cost prohibitive as well to retro-fit to the XO design. I'm sure that the problem will be overcome by the engineers. I am also aware that the Mermaid has a worse track record with multi-million dollar payouts to cruise lines for failures.

The ship that I was on was from the WWII-era. We thankfully have come further with technology than then! Technology has allowed prices overall to go down and create a mass-market for the cruising industry. I like that part as I enjoy being at sea. :)

Fingers crossed for a sail-away tomorrow!

Hope you have a great cruise. Thank you for all of your valuable input. I salute you too!

  6. On the other hand, the "gray funnel line" never has to show a profit.

And, as I said, the most common reason for a seal failure is "ingestion" of fishing equipment.

    Hello,

Greatly appreciate all of your knowledge on this topic. Hope the people get to go on their cruise today. We are on a December cruise on the NCL Star. Thank you and have a great day! Thank you for your service. I salute you!!!

  7. Hi Hi,

My partner and me are on this cruise. Glad you posted very surprised you started this thread. Thank you and hopefully, you are having a nice summer! We are not wishing the summer to go away, however, when December arrives.... we will be even happier! :)

  8. But I enjoyed the two stops I've been to on Belize.

Once we took a water taxi to Caulker Caye and once we did cave tubing which for me was one of my all time favorite excursions.

I am looking forward to my next stop there to do the ruins.

Don't really need another beach day. We've been to so many islands for land stays that almost every island stop is a beach day.

    Hi All,

Just discovered this thread and it was a good read. Very curious about this new Harvest Caye island. We just booked a cruise that will stop there and am open to new things. Our favorite thing to do in the Belize City port is to make our way to the air strip and hop a plane to San Pedro for a few hours. That was one of my fondest memories of Belize -- San Pedro. Receiving a ticket for parking the golf cart wrong.

  9. Congratulations!! :)

I fought with my PCC over the size of the balconies for the S6 and he's still pretty peeved with me I'm sure, but he didn't offer us any senior discount and my DH will be 50 at the time of sailing.

And as hard as I've tried, the supervisors won't change me to another PCC. :(

    Hi There,

I hope you get this. I have been reading through all the posting of the S6 cabins on the Breakaway and have booked an S6 on the Getaway. Deck 11 no windows in the bathroom here we come. A bigger bedroom with windows is perfect with me! Thanks for all the info. FOXTROT that PCC. :D
