I have been to Grand Cayman numerous times and have done all the noted excursions. Can anyone tell me something different to do? Has anyone been to the Botanical Garden??:D

We visited Huntes Gardens as part of a tour a few years ago & are thinking of getting a cab to do a return visit.Any idea of what that might cost - cabs readily available at port - entrance fee at the garden?
Thanks for your help!

Since you have been there I would like to suggest the Flower Forest....I have been to both and actually like the Flower Forest the best. http://www.flowerforestbarbados.com/

Done the swimming with the turtles (twice), toured Harrison's Caves (loved it!), and been to The Boatyard (crowded but fun). Hubby and I are returning next January on a Saturday from 8am-5pm and looking for advice on what to see and do.
Is Hunte's Gardens worth the effort to get there from the cruise port? Is the view at Bathsheba Beach unmissable? Concorde Experience?
Or should we just head to a resort or beach for the day?
The Flower Forest is the best in Barbados...I have been to Hunte's and Flower Forest is better. Bathsheba is gorgeous.

I just looked at their website and their prices were more than the cruise ship! Everything I saw was a good bit over a 100.00. Is there another place on their site for cruise ship tours?

I have been to Barbados twice. I saw the Flower Forest which is the most magical gardens I have ever been to. I looked at Glory and their prices were more than the cruise ship....I didn't see any cruises tailored for cruise ships. Any help on a good cruise ship tour ?

We were there in January and it was nice....crowded though.

Is there a beach near Nelsons boatyard if we wanted to do that in addition to the museum and shops?
I would love to have an answer to this question! thanks

Last year I got burned by Priceline in San Juan. I argued and argued with them. The hotel had horrible reviews and even their customer service agent agreed with me but I could not get it changed. I stayed there and it was not great. Not horrible but the room was very noisy near the kitchen!! It was the Radison Ambassador would not stay there again or deal with Priceline. We will be on your cruise and I am going to try and get a flight out return day....

Irtjs5 - Are you on our Roll Call? I just posted there about BeachLimerz (there's a thread here, too).
Froufie - Thanks for that info.
I just added my husband and I to the roll call. Is Angela the same Angela who organized tours on the Splendor last November? We were on that cruise and enjoyed several tours she organized.

I just emailed Levi asking for information but your email concerns me as I would be taking the tour alone. Would you mind sharing the information on the other tour operator as I'd like to book directly with him? Thanks. My email address is joan and al at verizon dot net.
Also check out Levi on Trip Advisor and see compare him to other guides!

Sometimes emails do get lost....but I would not worry about Levi. I contacted him yesterday and heard back today.....I am sorry that this happened to someone but as great as Levi is I can only assume this was an isolated incidence....His was the best tour I have ever been on and I am going again on my 21 cruise in December.:)

I agree about Bumpiing tours. We did the Roseau Valley Treasures tour, also called the wet tour. We just did the tour on November 5.. It was great. We went to the Champagne Reef for snorkeling first. Then to the Titou Gorge, which was absolutely fantastic. Finally we went to Trafalgar Falls and the warm springs. We had a guide with us all the way. They helped us up the falls at Titou Gorge. We were provided with drinks, beer, banana soda, water, through out the tour. There was no food provided. I highly recommend this tour.
We have done this same tour with Levi twice and there could be no better!!

It looks really nice, but $75 for a beach day is rather steep. I can't eat/drink that much!
With 8 ports, even if I don't do much, the cost is getting up there. And, of course, I want a couple of post-cruise days in San Juan afterward to recuperate (and that isn't cheap).
I'll keep my eye on Coconut Beach Club. Maybe they really will reopen before early December. And not raise the price too much. It was $45 when I was there and I think it had already gone up to $50 (plus transportation is separate; we had a van full so it was reasonable).
Will be on this cruise also! I have been to all of the ports before.....we are also looking to cut costs as an expensive excursion in each port is out of the question. Let me know if you find out anything about Coconut Beach Club. Thanks

thanks that helps!- love your cruising profile!

Is there a beach you can go to in Cozumel that is open later than 5:30. The ship does not arrive until around 1 p.m. Have done this cruise before and did the Salsa and Margarita excursion (fantastic by the way!) but just wanted a beach this time. I don't want to pay for an all exclusive thing as we will only have about 3 hours.

I think the entrance fee has gone up to 10.00

I just booked Caribe Hilton for two nights 6/5-7/11 for 90.00 a night on Priceline. So excited. Almost looking as forward to that as I am my cruise on the Victory!

We have been to the Supper Club on the Legend and on the Miracle. Men are not required to wear jackets.
oh well, I guess when we went every man had one on so I thought it was required. It is so nice I think you would want to be dressed up!

Are men required to wear jackets to the supper club?
Yes

We recently sailed and had room 8273 (wrap-around aft/starboard) It was GREAT! I was worried about noise from above on the Lido deck and also about soot..which were comments that I read prior to our trip.
We had almost no soot...just one morning, and it really wasn't anything much to speak of. Virtually no noise from above...either from the pools or from people moving furniture. Our noise problem was from the people in the cabin next to ours, who kept scraping their deck furniture at all hours. I don't think they ever picked up a chair all week! Just.....drag and scrape!
We also happened to sit with the family who occupied the other wrap-around suite on the port side...they also had no complaints about noise or soot.
I honestly don't think I could ever sail again without having the same type of room. The space was fantastic..especially on the deck!! We were all spoiled
Soot? As in like soot from a fireplace?

Was it noisy on the Panorma deck? Room 8238

Really need information about the 8th floor under the Lido deck. I am a light sleeper. Do I need to try and get a room change? We are under the ice cream area.

Carnival has a Blue Moon martini that is not on this older menu. Does anyone have the recipe or can post the new drink menu?????
