  1. I have found it much easier to fly to Bologna prior to Ravenna departure. It's a great city and well worth a 2 or 3 night stay. There is a frequent  train shuttle from the airport into town. To get to Ravenna there is a direct train hourly every day apart from Sunday for 8 euros. Azamara provides a free shuttle bus from Ravenna station to the port. Strangely there is no mention of the free transfer on the Azamara website.

  2. Cabin     6004

    Ship        Onward

    Date        21/05/22

Pros         Extra space compared to regular outside view cabins

Cons        Very noisy whilst the Cabaret Lounge is in use.

    Book again?  Not sure.

On our previous cruise the noise from the performances would not have bothered us as we were out late each evening, unfortunately on this occasion we were so tired from the days activities we were in bed by 9.30pm on a couple of nights and were unable to get to sleep due to the noise.

  3. Just boarded Onward at Ravenna having spent two enjoyable days in Bologna. There is a train service every hour from Bologna Centrale Station to Ravenna for 8 euros. We had expected to use a taxi to get from Ravenna Station to the port but was very pleasantly surprised to find a shuttle service provided by Azamara. I had not received any communication advising that a shuttle service would be available. All in all a very easy journey.
