  1. I just tried it in "Chrome" my now preferred browser, and it didn't work to login, clears my cache and then tried again it worked like it's supposed to, Going on Indy Dec 15th, no upgrade yet :(

there are some site that don't work with all browsers.. but they are getting to be very few...

clearing the cache usually works all the time...

  2. it is best to link her to your account, I did this with my partner, she will show the same status as you, but will still earn points on her own, you can link one adult to your account at a time, and numerous children under 18 (maybe 21) ...

I have seen where they look at everyone's cards and I have seen where they just look at one persons cards.... but if you link her you both will get the perks....

I linked my partner after we met, and that was on her first cruise, so she really liked the perks...:D

  3. they send those out as a worst case scenario in case Immigration takes longer to get everyone off, the turn around time takes longer but it be the same, since it is coming from Europe, there are some additional steps through customs they must go through, agricultural and stuff... I'd just plan on catching the shuttle as you normally would

  4. if you have MTD you must pre-pay because you may not have the same server each night. I personally like to pre-pay, that way I don;t have to worry about it on the final bill when I am on the ship, I just include it in the price of the cruise..

the reason I think they have cut out the envelopes and printing the slips that go into them, cost savings... on a ship like the Oasis, you are looking at 20,000 to 24,000 envelopes and another 6,000 pieces of special paper (perforated) and that is just on one ship for one week. now imagine that across the fleet, per week, so it's a cost sharing measure. People were still going to pay it at the end of the cruise one way or the other....

before I get nasty comments... it's just my opinion.... and I do understand that they are having people pay it months ahead of time.... so it is tying up your money.... I get that....

but I just find it odd that people are rushing to Guest services as soon as they get on board to have the automatic ones taken off, and then at the end they will pay it anyway.... or maybe they won't, they don't eat in the dining room so why pay the waiter/ asst waiter, even though the same water/asst waiter's are doing duty in the Windjammer for Breakfast and Lunch... guess those people aren't eating anywhere on the ship...

anyway... I hope you all have a great cruise, I wish I could plan a cruise that far out, as it is my current job only allows me to book one two months out at the most (so I pretty much have to pay the whole thing all at once)...

may you enjoy your next cruise...a bad day at sea beats a good day at work...:)

  5. Well we will be in IOS in DEC so maybe they will keep it going since we'll be on there with DW's parents and they are first time cruisers... so we can have a drink with them...

I think from reading all the post that the three drinks are only good during the Happy Hour and they are in addition too use of the Diamond Lounge....

so like me (when it's in effect) you cans stop by the Lounge, have a drink and then stop at a bar (and get one to go) to take to the MDR.... that will work...

while you may sit in the DL for the whole with, and some people drink more than three while they are in there.... they are just a way to help with the over crowding that occurs sometimes. have been there when it's almost empty and completely full, and had to go to a different location, because the lounge would not accommodate all the people eligible on board...

Hope it goes well and yes people will complain they always do...
