We'll be in Santorini on 11th June, and are 1 of 5 ships there that day!, with a combined maximum passenger total of 15,182 (+crew on their breaks?). Yikes! 🥹
Hopefully with such a bottleneck, crew are banned from going ashore in that port.
Where can I check this? We’ll be there on August 13th -

Just been reading some of first cruisecritic reviews for Sun Princess and feedback is as expected in most cases.
One point was made about missing venues like a chapel and a library but also an art gallery. No dedicated space on the deck plan and there don't appear to be any art auctions advertised in the patters!
Another interesting nugget was that there are apparently free lobster rolls for lunch at “The Catch by Rudi’” and they are loaded with lobster. I guess they mean these are available at the stations in that area of the Eatery? Can anyone confirm?
No art gallery? I never understood the appeal of those auctions, but I assumed Princess earned a lot of money from them.

One of my favorite places in Rome; nowhere else in the world can you see two portraits of the same person (Pope Innocent X) by both the greatest painter and the greatest sculptor of their time and perhaps of all time (Velázquez and Bernini). That little room is one of the Meccas of art.I’m also heading to Rome next week! Enjoy your stay 😊

So I remember the question being asked if the menus were the same in all three restaurants but i don't remember @CanadianBurger or anyone else answering it.
The night they went first to the MDR and then to the Reserve dining room, @CanadianBurger said there was at least one extra dish in the latter. -

45.00 + 18% gratuity. Remember, Spellbound is only 149.00 + 18% as well.
45.00 + 18% gratuity for 6 cocktails is not a bad deal.My problem with Spellbound is I don’t want to have dinner there in front of a magician, I just want to try the bar.

@CanadianBurger - Thanks for the updates! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind swinging by the Spa and just taking a picture of the pricing for the Enclave for the per day and per week price. I've seen the pics/videos so no need for more unless you just want to take them, but I'm torn on whether I want the full week pass or the day pass (which I've never bought, thus I don't know the price). I've always done the full week but with the itinerary, I'm not sure I'd get enough out of a full week?!? I love the warm chairs and the thermospa for my aching body. Thank you in advance!
You can book it through the app! I guess it depends on the length of your cruise; it gives me the option to book two 7-day passes for $149 each. No day passes on the app though. -

@CanadianBurger .. the outdoor AFT set of stairs that can be seen on the decks above the Wake View Terrace.. Are they accessible by passengers, or crew only?
Thank you for everything, enjoy your beautiful day at sea as you all head over to Athens! ☀️ 🚢
I also would like to know about this! It’s a nice place to hang out- 1

Just curious… When people eat this late at night what time do they go to sleep after having a heavy meal? I could do that, but the people that I usually cruise with would not do that.
I have dinner everyday (usually a light dinner) at around 9:30 and go to bed around midnight. On the weekends dinner at 10:30 is not a rare occurrence. When I was a teen my parents sent me once to Ireland and once to England during the summer to study English while staying with a family and I got used to dinner at 5 quite easily! But I had to snack on something before going to bed 😅

I would infer that possibly the passenger mix would have influence on whether there was a long wait or not. Europeans tend to eat later and while sailing in Europe the lines could be long around the 730-800 time frame. When cruising in the Caribbean, more Western Hemisphere passengers would be on board and the dinner eating patterns could skew earlier with many of the cruisers. Just a thought.
7:30 doesn’t even count as dinner time for us 😂 More like 9:30, but Princess won’t let us book a table then 🥲- 2

Even after everything I do Room Service delivered my order with cheese in it.
Happened to me on Enchanted… Everything was amazing until I ordered a “soy” latte to my room 🥲 Some fun few days afterwards. Now I always order in person and never lose sight of the type of milk they’re pouring.

@CaptainKirk Category “D0” Premium Deluxe Balcony do NOT get Signature benefits/upgrades.
When the ship initially opened for sale, there were 3 types of balcony staterooms:
Cove Balconies - Categories DG & DH
Deluxe Balconies - Categories DA, DB, DC, DD, DE & DF
Premium Balconies - Categories D1 & D2
Then as time went on, and the initial sailing drew near, Princess decided to do a re-categorization based on the booking pattern they were observing. They changed the name of the D# categories to Premium Deluxe Balcony to make it clear that the interior design of the room itself, is like the rest of the Deluxe Balcony categories, and the “Premium” referred to these rooms having an extensive balcony. At the same time, they added the now infamous D0 category, and put the previous aft-located D1 rooms into this new category, at a higher price point, than when they were D1’s. Historically, cruise lines will move staterooms that are in most demand, into higher categories, in order to increase their profitability.
Having closely observed this ship since the first steel was cut, it became apparent to me that one hand didn’t know what the other was doing. Deck plans on the Sun Princess dedicated website, didn’t match those on the main Princess website, or on the app(s). Changes would occur in one place, but not elsewhere. When this “late in the game” re-categorization took place it looks like someone “not in the know” was assigned the task of updating things. They made an incorrect assumption, that since these new “D0” rooms were near the suites, they must get the same benefits, and cut-and-pasted the benefits from the “S_” categories onto these new “D0” in error.
Princess has two versions of booking system, a new more elaborate one that travel agents have access to, and an old text based version that Princess agents (including those based on board the ships) use. Currently, in neither of these systems, does the Category “D0” indicate any “Signature” benefits. However, based on screen shots that have been posted on this thread, the incorrect misinformation must still be floating around in the passenger-facing website. The person I spoke with mentioned, that if someone booked this category based on seeing that misinformation, and could prove with enough evidence, they might be able to coerce the cruise line to honor it (once they get on board). But, that would likely be on a case-by-case basis, and you would need to come prepared with as much written evidence as possible.
Remember, if something looks too good to be true, it almost always isn’t. But, then again, hope springs eternal.
Dr. J
If that was my case I would fight tooth and nail for those benefits once on board, but I’m petty like that lol- 1

Are you serious? Seaview terrace and bar are smoking areas? What other areas, besides the casino are smoking?
SMH
I find it hard to believe; the Seaview terrace has a big pool right in front of the bar, kids will be around.- 1

I'm [more than] a bit confused. The chef (or is he a butcher?) who is heading up this partnership is Italian, with a famous butcher shop in Tuscany. The Crown Grill is going to get a Chef's Dinner featuring a Florentine Steak from said chef/butcher. But the Butcher's Block menu says at the bottom that all of the meat sourced for that restaurant comes from Spain. So is Princess tapping into this butcher's famous offerings at Butcher's Block, or is the chef/butcher merely adding his name to the operation?
That’s how we roll; nobody expects the Spanish beefquisition 😎🇪🇸- 1

According to the CEO of Kellogg’s, breakfast cereal is the perfect alternative to have for dinner in these cash strapped times 🤣
Off topic, but Kellogg’s cereals were developed as an anaphrodisiac! John Harvey Kellogg was a crazy Adventist obsessed with controlling people’s sex drives through food, so steer away from those corn flakes during the cruise 😂- 5

Mistakenly assumed that Spellbound was going to be a magic show with beverages and would probably have a 39.00 cover charge. No, instead it's three sittings of a show with drinks and dinner @ 149.00 pp. I hope it blows up in their face and it's changed by the time the Star comes out.
I was counting on spending a fortune on Spellbound because I assumed it would be something like the speakeasy on MSC World Europa, where entrance is free but cocktails are venue exclusive and not included in any package. Now I guess I won’t even set foot in it 😞 -
