I wouldn't worry too much. When you get to the terminal someone outside will want to see the QR code on your phone. If there is something you haven't filled in, they will sort it out once you get to the cheack-in. Have a great cruise.

Green lane has you satisfying their requirements to get into the terminal and you can attest your RAT and validate any certificates there.

Thank you! First cruise and I could live without all this. Don't mind apps etc if they work but the Medallion app is woeful.

If it’s GREEN - then you have completed what was required

(question would be then - what have u uploaded for the RAT test ??)

last night i had issues with the app on my phone and iPad but were able to get everything done today for tomorrow’s cruise

Have not uploaded anything about the RAT. Cannot get into Health Status so no idea what's in that area.

  3. We cruise tomorrow. Have done RATs, all fine. I've tried going into the Health Status area on the app and the website about twenty times, to no avail. The whole thing is so frustrating. No point Princess texting and emailing us with instructions if we cannot do what they ask! Anyone had similar problems? I'd really prefer to have it all done before we leave for the port tomorrow. By the way, we do have Green Status on the app.

  4. This is repeating some of what has been suggested. The easiest way is a taxi, I know on the Black and White cabs website it will give you an idea of cost for your route.

For something cheaper, you could get to Portside with a shuttle, then catch a CityCat from Bretts Wharf. The ferry is around $4, you cannot use cash any more, need to buy a Go Card somewhere first. Translink website has a list of retailers - and no, they don't make it easy.  From Riverside in the city you'd need to get to Roma Street which is a long walk. Note North Quay is not in operation yet after the Feb floods, same situation as quite a few other ferry terminals.

The airtrain is around $20 if you just rock up with a Go Card but family recently paid $28 for two adults, one way, from the airport to the city. There is a deal for two, maybe other deals on the website. Also cheaper if you prebook.

  5. Thanks for the tip on Andrews Airport Parking. As mentioned above, they do cruise/airport/parking combinations, such as cruising one way and flying home. They have the cruise details on their website so you can pick your ship and embarkation date (or arrival date). There is the choice of undercover or outdoor parking. This is good to know but we may still get a cab, will have to check costs.

Ring Princess. They are doing shuttles into Anne St, Brisbane for those doing B2B cruises, so it might be possible to book onto something.

A bit left field with a couple of ideas:

A river cat to Northshore and a cab from there.

A shuttle to the airport and a cab from there.

Suggest to a friend that they really need to get a close look at the cruise ship, and get them to drop you off.

We are staying a pre-cruise night in the Portside complex, and the cab fare from there seems reasonable enough to us.

I don't really want to ring Princess, bearing in mind my previous calls. Was left feeling really annoyed. Thanks for your thoughts. A CityCat to Northshore or even Brett's Wharf, isn't a bad idea, if they are running. About half the ferry terminals and routes still aren't in operation, after the February floods.

I believe the only shuttles available from the new terminal are those operated by Princess and going to the airport. Depending where you live, it might work out more convenient and OK cost-wise compared with a taxi, if you park at the terminal. We paid $128.44 for undercover parking for seven days. It isn't inside a building, just under large frames that home solar panels. Open air parking is under $100. For us this was less than half the price of two lots of taxi fares.

Thanks. We can't park at the terminal as the cruise finishes in Sydney, so we fly home. Good to know this info for any future cruises.

  8. Does anyone know if there are companies providing transfers from Brisbane (not the airport, we live in Brisbane) to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal? I can't find anything on the Princess website so assume that is not something they offer. I checked Con-X-ion, a shuttle company, and they don't seem to offer that route either. A taxi is the obvious solution but will be pricey. Anyone know of other options? Thanks.

  9. This has probably been asked before but the app won't let me choose my drivers licence as my travel document. I thought Australians travelling on a domestic cruise could use licences for ID. I've tried the website too (both are frustrating as hell but the less said the better). They just come up with an option for passport details. I don't want to take our passports if we don't have to.

  10. Hello, I'm new to cruising and this board. Have been reading about the Medallion app and am not looking forward to all the frustration! Our first cruise is August 2022. My question is if we use the web version on the laptop, will all the data then appear automatically in the app?
