    That's a shame as I like the exclusivity of a suite and that is why I pay extra for it. They had better expand on the dining room size! (ex-Signature and Reserve - perhaps they will merge into one).

     

    Just as I thought I would move away from X and their Retreat offering (which really was nice and exclusive for dining and lounge and butler), I am thinking of going back already!

    They have finally updated the deck plan to show that there are in fact two separate restaurants, essentially one for the suites and another for the other Sanctuary cabins. I would expect that the Signature would be less crowded.

     

    ON SECOND THOUGHT, MAYBE I'M LOSING IT AND IMAGINING A CHANGE.

    I had two bookings with NCL cancelled by the cruise line over the past three months alone. The first booking was for fleet redeployment and the second booking (what we had booked after the first cancellation) was for a full ship charter.

     

    In both cases I received an email that the cruise was cancelled, my deposit would be returned to original form of payment within 45 days and an offer of 10% off the base fare for a future booking, if I book and cruise within 18 months.  

     

    Given the shifting winds of their deployment schedule, I decided to forgo the 10% discount and booked the Sun Princess instead.

     

    I hope that you are able to find another suitable cruise for your vacation, even if like me, you end up looking at other lines. 

    I understand that these things happen, but we were offered no discount on a rebooking other than $100.00. 10% would have softened the blow.

  4. For those of you who are attacking the original poster, I am in a similar situation apparently. My cruise on the Star was cancelled. When I went to book a substantially similar cruise on the Sun...same number of days and same ports, the cost is approximately $4,000.00 more than what I had booked for. No option to change my booking to another ship or anything, just straight cancellation and an expectation to pay an extra $4,000.00 apparently. I was offered and have a $100.00 future cruise credit which is in my account as per the cancellation e-mail I received.
    I don't think that is very satisfactory.

    That's interesting. Maybe I shouldn't sweat the small stuff and should worry more about whether COVID is going to crop up again. COVID has cancelled my last two cruises 🙂

    Are you leaving soon?  If IT doesn’t fix your problem, can you order just the free medallion and free lanyard?  Then, you could have it shipped or pick up at port option.  Those options, it would have your name and sailing date.

     

    The one time we picked up at the port, was because we would not be home 2 weeks before to get it shipped. 

     

     

    No, the app won't let me order to pick up at the port either. No review items and the "place your order" button still grayed out. Thing is totally glitched out. It's too bad..I've had cruises in the past where I had no problem ordering the medallion beforehand while everyone else was having issues. Guess it's my turn. I'm kind of surprised that after all this time they haven't ironed out the bugs. Of course, after #3059 posts in the third thread of complaints, I should have known better. Frankly, I'm usually just a lurker around here and only posted because I noticed others were having the identical issue I'm having.

    I never had a problem getting the medallion in the mail, since 2018.

     

    No reason to sweat the delivery.  You get them about 2 weeks before departure.

    If you didn’t get them for some reason,

    then just pickup at the port.

     

    No big deal, really.

    If you pick them up at the port because you could never order, I assume you don't get your name and ship etched on them? They are just generic?

    It really is no big deal to pick it up at the port, if you have to. Only takes a few minutes extra.  You prob want to buy the customized accessories, though.

     

    But, if you’re like me, you want to do it all ahead of time.

    Yes, everything has a check except for the medallion selection. Everything else worked fine so 1,3,4, and 5 are all checked.

    Especially, number 3…Medallion pay?


     

     

     

     

    I've got green checks next to the first 8 items on the booking.

    I've been having the same problem for the last month. Driving me nuts...the "review the items in your cart" section is blank and the "place your order" button is grayed out and not clickable. Very frustrating and a huge waste of time. The Ocean tech support advised they are helping people in the order of sailings so would get back to my case when they get to it.
