  1. We missed nassau due to high swells and had our itinerary changed from Nassau, St Thomas, St. Maarten to San Juan, St Thomas, Nassau but there are 20 foot swells at San Juan to so we’re down to 2 ports. It’s been crazy out here even despite taking the old Bahama channel. I was woken up every hour by the waves rolling me around in bed last night. The weather is beautiful though!

Very disappointing, the children were ready to get off the ship for a little bit. I understand is a safety issue and will try to make the best of it. Let’s see what happens tomorrow with St. Thomas.

  2. Not rolling at all now. In fact, it has been a sunny, but cool day. I heard the same, San Juan, St. Thomas, and then Nassau on last day. I am trying to call guest services but the lines are full. Will post an update as soon as I hear anything. Kinda disappointing to miss St. Marteen but safety comes first. The map shows we are heading almost the same way we took off from Port Everglades but don’t know about that.

  3. I'm not sure, but you may not be able to print the SetSail pass this close to sailing. For most ships, that would not be a big deal, but with Harmony, the SetSail pass acts as your SeaPass card until the staterooms open at 1pm when you can get your SeaPass card. I'd call Royal customer service and see if they can assist.

    Thank you,

I ended up calling and they guided us through, including my wife's security picture which we had not done.

    Thanks

  4. Hello,

We are leaving on Saturday on the Harmony and just logged on to RC website to print our Set Sail Passes; however, there is a note saying that our booking is being modified and to try later. I noticed that RCCL website says that check in must be completed and printed 3 days prior to the cruise. Our check in shows complete but we are unable to print. My question is, we are now 3 days from the Sail date, can I just print it tomorrow or Friday?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Hey there. We will be cruising with you- glad it's next week and not this one- we couldn't get out this weekend. Based upon our previous 8 day sailing cruises. Elegant nights will be Sunday (night 2) and Friday (night 7). That's what they have been before- but could be different this time :)

I know. We are hoping for good weather next weekend so that everyone can make it to Miami on time. I am also hoping those disembarking today can make it back home safely; although there are lots of flight cancelations at MIA. We here in Miami are getting ready for 45 degrees tomorrow...lol. some folks down here will take out their coats tomorrow. Thanks for the info, have a nice flight next week.

  6. Currently I have booked a cruise that goes to Half Moon Cay (always wanted to go there), St. Thomas, Grand Turk, and San Juan. We've been to all of those places except HMC.

Now I find one that goes to St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Grand Turk and San Juan.

I know that there can be issues with Half Moon Cay being a hit or miss to get there. And am thinking of switching it to the St. Maarten, St. Kitts cruise. Any thoughts from experiences cruises to those places????

Also this new option is on the Conquest which I've not been on. Although I'm assuming it's just like the Liberty and the Glory.

I am sure you will enjoy your cruise. We are currently booked on the Breeze January 30th and will visit those 4 Ports. I personally would rather go to St. Maarten since is one of my favorite islands. If you choose St. Maarten, I recommend you rent a car and drive the island at your own pace. I always plan a stop at Orient Bay (beach) and Maho Bay to watch a few planes land before heading to down town for some shopping. St. Kitts is also a beautiful island. Last time we visited we rented a cab and went to the beach. On the way back, the taxi driver gave us a tour of some parts of the island. We took some awesome pics of Nevis in the distance.

Whatever you choose, have a great trip.

  7. He once told me the same story but that he needed $20.00.

I told him that all I had was a cashier's check for $100 and was looking for a bank to cash it. I offered to endorse it for him in return of the balance of $80.00 to which he agreed.........long story short, my check did not have any funds......that night I had a nice dinner thanks to this gentleman.

    j/k :-p

  8. I Agree with you 100 %. I like to help people. That's why when I give them money, I do it in good faith and just walk away without worrying if they are being truthful or not.

How sad! Because of those people,we don't know who really needs help anymore. Two months ago, I gave a lady in the Wal-mart parking lot $6 because of a story that her car broke down and needed the money to take a bus home. After she got the money, she walked around and asked other people too and most of them ignored her. Well, maybe those people are smarter than me!
  9. I am currently considering the new entry level professional Nikon D5000. It has the same Image processor as the D90 but for less $$$$. There is a local outlet here in Miami selling it for $699 with the 18-55mm lens. Check out this review. Video is not important to me. I like the D90 but do not want to expend the additional $$$. Any recommendations from the OP or anyone else will be appreciated.

    By the way, great Pics.

A new camera form Nikon to be released this May that looks lighter than the D90 or D60 is the D5000, it is listed at B&H Photo for arond $730.00(body only). What is great is shoots RAW+JPEG.

Thanks for bringing the CC Photo Gallery to the attention of people on the text message boards.

I was always under the impression that many people who do the text message boards

are quite unaware of CC's excellent Photo Gallery

so I was just kinda bringing pics to them...sorry I hit your bandwidth nerve, man

but it often helps to illustrate a point being made

since a picture is worth a thousand words? ;)

    Maybe I should stop.

All who think we should stop posting pics to threads

    - please say so.

    Seriously!
