While we have a large number of cruises under our belts, NCL has not been our preferred line.  We are now booked on the Breakaway and have some newbie questions.

Have shorts become acceptable for men in the dining room?  We’ve noticed on other lines thst things are becoming extremely casual and many men are wearing shorts.

Can we carry on a case of water?

Can we each carry on a bottle of wine if we don’t have a drink package?

We are wanting to do the All Access Tour on our upcoming Sky Princess Cruise.  Does anybody know if this can be booked ahead of time, or do we have to wait and book once onboard?  Thanks!

Just curious what website everyone uses to check cabin availability?  I don’t normally care, but trying to get some family members booked so it would be helpful to see what is available.

Anybody besides me having trouble bringing up the HAL website.  It will not even go to it!

The process has changed recently.  An outside company is verifying the credit.  You may want to call the Mariner Society to help you on this issue.  Maybe they can tell you who to talk to.  My PCC was able to add it for me on an already booked cruise once we submitted the DD214 and had confirmation of acceptance.  The  next cruise I booked the credit was added automatically to the booking number.

Not sure how HAL works, but with the other lines, once it’s in the profile, it gets added automatically.

My husband and I are avid cruises (78 and counting) however, most of our cruises have been on either Royal Caribbean or Princess.  We are booked on HAL for 14 days this coming summer. This cruise was booked onboard in November 2021.  Recently, I submitted our shareholder benefit and applied for my husbands military benefit.  Shareholder was applied to our booking, but I could not find where the military benefit had been applied.  When I called to. Heck on it today, I was informed that the Militzry benefit is only good on ‘new’ bookings and it has to be applied for within 7 days of booking!  Never have I heard this.  None of the other lines are like this.  We could apply for it right before sail date.  Is there a possibility I was given the wrong information?

Hey there…..we will also be on next week after you get off so I’m looking forward to following along to see what’s going on and what your opinions are.

Super curious to hear about the MDR. We’re hoping it is more on the casual side then dressy.

We will be cruising out of Southampton in September.  In the past, we’ve stayed at the Premier Inn West Quay.  This time we’ve booked the Premier Inn City Center.  Has anybody stayed there?  Any pros or cons to either location?

All I know is that in our more than fifteen years cruising with Princess, Matt was by far the most gifted, entertaining, kind and wonderful member of the entertainment staff and ultimately Cruise Director that we have ever enjoyed on ANY line. We had the great good fortune to sail with him even before he was promoted and I remember our very first cruise with him thinking to myself that this young man is going places and I was right. His decision is Princess' loss and ours as passengers and I only wish him the very best. This pandemic has been a long hard slog for all of us. We have all gone through something traumatic and changed in the process. Many people are reevaluating what is important to them in life after this experience and quite rightly he should pursue what fulfills him and makes him happy. Clearly that is not to be found with Princess at this point. No doubt he will land where he belongs and continue to spread his unique brand of fun and joy wherever that may be. I am so thankful that my family had the pleasure of getting to know him. He made our cruise vacations with Princess ten thousand times more fun and memorable and I will always be grateful.

We will be cruising out of San Diego this fall and will need to park for 7 days.  Anybody have any recommendations for a decent lot not to far from the port?

We are on the next cruise and I’m having packing anxiety🤪🤪. I’ve packed 2 suitcases full of cold weather clothes.  Could you please keep us abreast of the weather as you move further south.

I just sat and binge read your entire thread......Wow!  Thank you so much for sharing your cruise and pictures with us.  We are on the 1/21/20 sailing, and I’m even more excited now then I was before I read your review.

I don’t normally worry about bringing my own soda onboard, however we are getting ready for a very long cruise and thought maybe this time I’d bring something on with me since Princess doesn’t carry my favorite drink.  

What is their policy?  Do I carry it on in my hand luggage, or do I pack it in my checked bag?

We have just booked two Celebrity Cruises and have already posted on their threads.  Now I’d like to subscribe to the threads so I receive notifications of new postings, but can’t find how how to do this.  I can see the threads I am Currie try subscribed to, but can’t add any.  Anybody know how to do this?  IMHO, this  new website really stinks!
