  1. My daughter and I are going on Voyager of the Seas a week from Sunday.  I am trying to decide if we are going to sign up for a fitness class package or not. How/when are the classes?  The itinerary has port calls each day, so I don't want to pay if the classes are in the middle of the day.  Either morning or evening would work best for us.

ETA:  I have recently begun to drink palomas.  While I prefer the Fever Tree grapefruit, I can make due with ruby red grapefruit juice and soda.  Are these available onboard, or should I bring my own mixer?

  2. My daughter and I would like to do two days of diving.  We are on Voyager of the seas on March 5th.  My daughter is a beginner diver, but I am a former instructor.  She needs a tune up dive and I will get her one before we leave.  That said, her buoyancy needs work, so ideally, I'd like a shore dive with a sandy bottom for the first day where she can just swim around and practice.  I do not want a guided dive on this day.

The second day, we are open to more options (hopefully her buoyancy will be improved) and would prefer a guided dive here.  Any recommendations on which places to dive that meet the above criteria?

    Ports (in order)

    San Juan

    St. Thomas

    St. Croix

    St. Maarten

    St. Lucia

    Barbados

    St. Kitts & Nevis

I don't believe this is true.

You are correct.  And this is a terrible public health strategy.  I am an epidemiologist, and I am so very sick and tired of this pandemic (literally!  I am currently dealing with my first bout of COVID!).  There is no one who wants this to be over more than I do.  But vaccination and testing requirements help REDUCE the spread of this cursed  virus.

I generally have a pretty healthy risk tolerance for myself personally.  I am not so worried about contracting COVID so much as contracting COVID and being stuck in Miami (or god forbid, my cabin) for the duration.  Guess I'd better bring my work computer with me just in case....

If you open the dashboard on the VV website (your log in) at the bottom you will see a box called "share the love" with the details and how to post the link to others to both get your credit.

I do that, but it only says I am to give out the code they give me....But no code!

  5. Ok, y'all! I booked today for a Solo Insider at the end of August, and i have lots of questions that I cannot find answers to.

    * I used on of the verification codes that was listen in a thread below for loot.  I received the credit, but I have not received the link to share my code.  I look all over my dashboard, and it's nowhere to be found.

    * I have seen some reference to ships sailing at way below capacity.  I know other cruise lines show what cabins are available, but how do i find out this info from Virgin?

    * I cannot wait to try the food.  However, I am a bariatric patient and cannot eat a large volume.  Can I request half portions?

    * Has anyone been successful requesting free upgrades?  If so, how?

Thank you all for your feedback!  I am really looking forward to it!

  6. So, I will be celebrating my 50th birthday and i am thinking of treating myself to a solo cruise.  What is the solo scene like on Virgin?  Since there isn't assigned dinner seating will I have the opportunity to meet folks?  I don't want to be stuck with no one to talk to.
