  1. Has anyone got a bars menu? Just looking to see if it will be cheaper to buy individual drinks from bars or take up the Drinks package which for 7 days cruise is £700 for the two of us.

Does anyone know cost of bottles of wines?

  2. We are due to doing the above cruise in Feb 22, staying a few nights in Cambodia and Vietnam post and pre cruise. As yet the flights have not been booked. ATP have not given any update and I am sceptical this cruise is going to go ahead. Has anyone got any information?

The balance of holiday is due mid Mid December, should we pay?

  3. We are sailing on the ATP Travelvega boat on the Danube 15th April next year. The boat looks fantastic and looking forward to going on our first river cruise. We just hope it goes ahead.

Anyone else here going on this cruise?

  4. Am possibly looking at a cruise on the Azamara Pursuit, does anyone know if there is a men only steam/sauna?

I have been on the Quest and there is a steam/sauna there.

I have been on many cruise ships but only book a ship which has separate men only sauna/steam. Had made many good uses of them and its just nice to chill, relax, put the world together with other guys without any women nagging us etc

  5. We have just spent a week on the Ruby Princess on the West Coast of America. This was our 4th Princess Cruise and we felt a little disappointed in all honesty. The ship was no issue, the crew were just as good, but we found the costs on board the ship have increased quite a lot. Each purchase on the ship, drink etc you pay an additional 18% service charge. We have previously purchased wine packages on board usually on embarkation, but these are no longer available. We were offered a drinks package, which worked out at £700 or $840, per couple, this was to us very expensive, there is no way in a week we would drink that amount of alcohol. Bottles of wine we found very expensive, we paid $44  for a bottle of Malbec. The menu is the dining rooms has changed slightly and I can understand them wanting to try out new things, like eating a Crowne Grill steak in Da Vinci and Marco Angelo restaurant but at additional cost $19.99+, there used to be a steak on the favourites menu each night, but now having to pay extra does not seem fair.

We enjoyed the cruise very much, but it is the little things which were not there we noticed more. It would appear that more and more cruise ships are cutting back or introducing more ways to get money out of its customers. Would I cruise with Princess again, would have to think seriously, a lot of people have budgets and are not always prepared for all the little extras. I hope that Princess will listen to what people are saying, I spoke to many people on the ship who have sailed frequently with them and they too noticed how much things had changed on board with costs etc

On a positive note,  just love Vines, the staff there were amazing, Sheryl, Marc Anthony, Abdul and the chef who between them looked after us and all the customers.

  6. We are sailing on the Ruby Princess in March and possibly looking at a wine package when we get on board. Is anyone aware of one and what the possible cost of this is? Does any also know of any other drinks package other that soft drink which is offered on embarkation?
