  1. We are Cruising to the Caribbean in March of 2025 for the first time. We have been on 2 Mexican Riviera Cruises so far, in 2020 & 2023. We do enjoy shopping for Local Souvenirs. From our first cruise to Mexico in 2020 to our following cruise in 2023 the Local Souvenirs seemed to All be "Made in China". We didn't end up buying hardly anything that trip.

Does any know if "Made in China" has taken over Local Caribbean as well ?

We do enjoy supporting and Collecting from Local Merchants with Local indigenous items.

  2. I'm wondering why the American Diner is a Pay Restaurant on the Breakaway Class ships.

We we're on the Joy back in January of 2020. Every time we went by the American Diner it was always dead, with very few customers if any.

I've seen many videos of these ships and the American Diner is never busy. Seems like such a wasted area that should be at least Complimentary as I look at prices compared to other restaurants on the ships.

  3. I hear the Dolphin Swim is a good time and that is one we are looking at now. As far horse back riding, those days are long gone says my back. 😄  The water taxi seems good day as well.

Having to decide what port to stay on the Bliss for a nice Spa Day as well. 😀

  4. My wife and I are heading to the Mexican Riviera in November of 2023. A few years ago on our first cruise we spent time walking around Cabo and   Mazatlan then Zip Lined in Puerto Vallarta. What a Great time we had. We were late getting back to the ship and was rushed on board. As soon as we boarded they closed up the ship and we departed right after. We ended up leaving 11 passengers. It’s a good thing we Booked our Excursion on the Ship or I believe it would have left us.

Does anyone prefer one Excursion over Others as we plan our upcoming trip. We will be traveling with a few other couples this time. I don't think Snorkeling will be an option as I hear the water is a bit murky for that.

    Thanks

  5. We will be traveling to the Mexican Riviera on the Bliss November 2023. We did the Zip Line excursion in Puerto Vallarta on our first cruise a few years ago and had a great time. Looking at a Snorkeling Excursion this time (thinking Cabo) does anyone prefer one Excursion over others that we should look at, or stay away from ?

    Thanks

Thanks for the great review.! We board Bliss in mid-January for the 5 day Mexican Riviera. Sorry in advance for the following questions, LOL:

    1) Priority Access: Per New2 Cruise2022's link above, it says it includes complimentary daily room service breakfast...is this beyond the continental breakfast that's free anyway? How long was embarkation for you with this priority access? We have a 4 year old and the shorter we stand in line, the better!

    2) I know you said you have teens but did you see many preschool-age kids? We are going mid-January so I assume there would be less than Thanksgiving time but I am hoping our son could do the Splash Academy.

    3) Was your ship close to capacity? I know you said it did not feel crowded. Debating about buying the unlimited Starbucks plan but wanted to avoid the super long lines that might come with it.

    4) Did you do a NCL sponsored excursion in Cabo? I was looking at the independent companies for whale watching but it was hard to find something that fits the timeframe we are in port for, after accounting for tender time.

    5) Did your kids go to the Arcade? Do you know about how much the games were?

Was it warm enough to use any of the water activities/pool?

    Thanks so much!!!

I won't book an excursion off the Ship. Have you ever seen the "Pier Runner" YouTubes ? 😀

We have taken 1 cruise so far and looking for forward to our next Mexican Riviera Cruise in Nov. 23.

On that first cruise (on the Joy) we booked a Zip Zine adventure in Puerto Vallarta from the Ship. Well, we we're late getting back. They rushed us directly onto the Ship, no screening ect. They closed the doors right after we boarded. We went to get a drink and watch our departure. We hear so much chatter about passengers left behind. We saw a few passengers waving as we sailed away. Heard we left 11 passengers behind. 😲

We will book all are excursions from the Bliss,  just for the fact that the Ship will wait for you if the excursion runs late.

  7. We are Cruising to the Mexican Riviera on the Bliss in November of 2023. We were on the Joy in January 2020, where the Crew added to our Cruising experience. From the time we boarded the Ship till the time we disembarked, the Crew was always happy, whether Entertaining, Serving or Cleaning. A reason why we chose to cruise NCL again. Is the Joyful Singing/ Washy Washy atmosphere in the Dinning areas the same throughout the NCL Fleet or was it just on the JOY ?

    Thanks
