  1. I am glad they work for you. :) Did you get the shorter or the longer ones? The long ones are too long for my short, little legs.

I checked the make of the ones I bought at Costco, which make me feel like I have absolutely nothing on under the dress. I hope that I don't forget to put them on one day. LOL

They are made by Jockey as well, but feel lighter and looser than Skimmies. Although they only came in black, white, and beige at Costco, they might have more colours in other stores.

One pair of longer and one pair of short.

  2. Marie makes an excellent point--the way you carry yourself and your attitude both go far in creating a style.

I'm also working toward paring down my closet. We recently downsized to an apartment about half the size of our former house--with closets downsized, too. I've given bags of clothes to charity and am about to give more. I'm thinking I do better with the basics--neutral colors that I can accessorize with fun scarves, necklaces, earrings, shoes etc. I have several friends whose wardrobes are centered around one color (black, actually). Shopping, dressing, packing--all so much easier. Now to pick a color...

  3. I'm eager to see the replies, as I'm in a similar situation. We're doing the Allure Mediterranean cruise in July, with another 2 weeks in Spain after. And because we'll be traveling around Spain by train (in the rain?!:p), we're each packing a carry-on and backpack only.

I'm thinking like you for the formal dinners on the cruise--flowy black palazzo pants and a couple sparkly tops. Probably a pair of sparkly sandals to go with the outfit. Capris and gauzy tops for the daytime, with a big wide-brimmed hat to protect from the sun. Black will likely be the dominant color of the wardrobe, with several colored scarves to change out the look.

I worry about my husband--not sure how he'll fit a sportcoat in his suitcase along with everything else he needs.

  4. I am currently using a Kate Spade that I gave myself for Mother's Day. (i have gotten more compliments on that from men than from any other bag!) I do have several D&B bags--though the patterns are mostly floral or Mickey (I'm a Disney freak) and not the D&B logo. Another fairly recent find I love is Harvey's. Those bags wear really well and have fun designs.
