  1. This will be our first Carnival Cruise.. Both the Breeze and the Freedom will fit our time slot..and itinerary..

What are the main differences between the two ships? Pros and Cons

    Thank You

  2. We've stayed at the Hampton Inn, very clean, nice staff, free hot breakfast and about two blocks to the Sky Train. They also have a free shuttle to/from the airport. River Rock Casino is adjacent to the Sky Train station.

Both are in an industrial-type area so not much to see. There's a Costco in between the Hampton and Holiday Inn Express.

After checking out in the am and while driving to the Aquarium, we discovered Kid left his bear in the room, quick call to the front desk and 10 minutes later a call back, found! They said they would FedEx back to us if necessary.

thanks so much for the info..are there any restauarnts in the area? thinking dinner?

  3. Just got back from our cruises, which we spent 4 days in Vancouver. We stayed downtown, easy walk to Gastown, and uptown both, near enough to the Art Museum, and a block from the Big Bus hop on hop off stop. Was our first visit to Vancouver , and we really enjoyed our time there. Plan to return for a longer stay. Really nice city, friendly people, lots to see and do.

what hotel did you stay at? How far was the airport? thanks

  4. hi,

although i know of several crafts stores in the jerusalem area, i'm not really an expert on needlepoint (and, as per cc rules, even if i did as a local expert i wouldn't be permitted to share them here).

However, i did a google search for needlepoint supplies in jerusalem, and i found a few links to needlepointers and quilters who i think may be able to help you (for the second link, scroll down to the response to the article, and then below that is also a contact form that i think you may find helpful):

  5. Don't know how this works..we just booked a B2B for 10/2011...booked thru Celebrity..We will be on board in Oct., 2010 ( didn't want to wait to book on board so we could get the same cabin for both, and get one we wanted. )

Question...the booking agent said when we are on board we can change the booking to take advantage of the on board booking bonuses but I am not quite sure how that would work,,

if someone knows and can explain, thanks

  6. SCOTTAMILLER..

Are you sure about the Vista Deck #'s ? ..I think that is the deck with the mistake in the layout and then your list of extra large balconies would be off ..ONLY ON VISTA DECK....

do a search "help with angled balconies" and check out post # 116

  7. We were on this "Jewel" of a ship in February 2008 and plan to be on her again in March of 2010. This is by far our favorite ship and the best cabin we have ever had, including a mini suite on the Sun Princess. Cabin 9576 is a balcony hump cabin. The locatin by the library is awesome and the balcony is exta large with a big covering. It is the quietest cabin we have ever had and can't wait to be in it again.

The staff on the Jewel was outstanding!

so glad to see how much you liked cabin 9576..we have 9076 for an upcoming Panama Canal cruise so am assuming this will also be a great cabin..Thanks for sharing...
