How about you just get another cabin?
Big price difference to get a 2nd cabin- besides unless it was a perfect adjoining rooms situation, our kids are young and can't be in a different room from us for safety reasons.

When we first did research on the Norwegian Escape, we saw on multiple cruise forums that there was a drop off option (for a fee) available for the guppies age (6mo-3y). This was unique from the other NCL cruises and was a big reason we chose this particular cruise/ ship (cruising in April 23). Since then I realize that the info may have been dated or changed with COVID. Can anyone who recently traveled the Escape with an under 3 confirm if there are any Guppies drop off options available? TIA!

In all seriousness if you have parents willing to go or other adults it will make it much easier.
Especially if the four year old can bunk with them.My four year old grandaughter slept on our couch and loved it.
Yes- we're traveling with family (yay)!

You may want to contact the Special Needs/ Accessability dept at NCL so your request can be fulfilled before you board. Ymmv ofc but I would start with them 🙂
I assume you mean April 2023, not ‘22. 😄
Yes 2023- not used to the new year yet! Thank you- I will reach out.

Hi there,
Cruising as a family of 4 in April 2022- 2 kids age 1 & 4. My question is, is it possible for the sofa to be removed from the room so we have extra floor room for a pack and play? My daughter can use the upper pull down bed, I assume. Does a pack and play even fit on an NCL balcony cabin?
Also, if anyone has any tips for cruising with littles, let us know!

Norwegian Escape- Guppies (recent cruisers)
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
I wanted to reply in case anyone else gets confused by this. BEFORE the pandemic, the Norwegian Escape (ONLY this ship) did in fact have "for a fee" childcare for babies age 6mo-3 year. At one point when cruises restarted, all kids clubs were suspended temporarily. When they brought back the kids programs last summer (2022), they did NOT resume the for fee drop off option for Guppies. This confused me because every cruise blog I have read about the Escape, even the ones that published in the past year, have indicated that there was a drop-off option for this age group. Additionally, we actually chose this particular cruise for this option, just to be able to have the drop-off opportunity for a couple of dinners. Even our travel agent had the dated information. Just wanted to answer my question and clarify in case anyone else experiences it. Due to staffing shortages and pay cuts already going on with NCL, it is HIGHLY unlikely that this will change anytime soon.
