  1. No exception taken 😉, i fully understand and can see your point of view and to be honest they are some of the thoughts that i had, In the end i just thought i might as well give it a go, nothing ventured nothing gained so to speak, I mean if it's not for me then i will be putting the suit up for sale 😁
  2. I fly out this Friday 03/03/23 to Barbados to join Arvia for 2 weeks around the Caribbean, Formal nights are not something that i am used to to be honest and with being a new cruiser as well not something i have had to do in the past, I don't possess a tuxedo or the likes but i have managed to acquire what i see as quite a smart suit with white shirt and bow tie, I have no doubt it will feel quite alien to me to dress this way but i am looking forward to it, i mean is it to much to ask or to much trouble for 1 night a week? i don't know? but i am willing to give it a try to find out,
  3. I don't think you have to be a heavy drinker, bear in mind it is not just alcohol the drinks package covers, i have worked out for myself if i have on a daily basis (which is not a lot) 2 beers 1cocktail 1 spirit 2 premium coffee 2 soft drink 1 bottle water it will cost somewhere in the region of £37. give or take a few pence. so overall not to far off the drinks package price, Add 1 extra drink of any kind to that and you will be at drinks package price. 🙂
  4. Getting excited now as it is only 3 weeks to go for my 1st P&O cruise 🙂 I have just done the online check in bit on My P&O and downloaded the boarding passes for my wife and myself, my question is regarding my wife's boarding pass - it only shows her first and last name but not her middle name? even though this was provided to P&O when we booked the cruise with them and filled in the personal information bit on their website with passport details and insurance details, would this be a problem come boarding time or stop us from boarding as it does not match her passport info ? someone please put my mind at rest and tell me it will be ok 🙂 GemC
  5. I'm flying out to Barbados in 3 weeks from Manchester and upto now it is with Tui,
  6. Really! 🤯 that will be weird and strange to walk out the airport without checking the carousel, do P&O give you confirmation of this,
  7. Good day everyone, i feel like it's silly question time from me, As this is the first time i have booked a holiday direct- without a travel agent so to speak who does everything for you, can someone tell me please how i go about getting or do i get an E-Ticket/boarding for the flight out to Barbados? on 03/03/23 also is it advisable to attach the cruise/luggage labels at departure airport or at destination airport? thanks Gem
  8. mine is not listed ? i fly into Barbados on the 03/03/23 sailing k305, maybe not required for Barbados then, but will keep checking.
  9. I sail on Arvia in March also, not had an email from them telling me that ?? maybe expect one in the next day or two then,
  10. You might also find it's also a little different on the tips/gratuities side of things, it is not the same as USA, in fact on P&O website it states.. Great service comes as standard Tipping isn't needed on our ships so you can relax knowing good service and good times are all part and parcel of your P&O Cruises holiday.
  11. Well i will be hoping 🤞 that things improve, My wife and i are booked on Arvia 03/03/23 for 14 nights, this will be 1st time with P&O so not got anything to compare it to, my thoughts will have to be based on first impression, Time will tell 🙂 Gem
  12. Clubcardcruiser, Thanks for that link, Having checked all the destinations, Barbados, Tortola, La Romana, St Maarten, Antigua, Martinique, St Lucia that we will be visiting on that list it seems Barbados is the only one that requires the Immigration and customs form. that makes things easier, i was expecting every island to require something like that, 🤷‍♂️ 😕 Thank you Gem
  13. Thanks for this info Megabear2, It says we have £600 OBC, not sure if that is a typo 🙂 It would be great if you give some clues on the best trips to go on, Gem
  14. Hi Sharon, Glad to be here, I will be cruising with my wife, we will more than likely be booking tours onboard, I'm more concerned with having the correct paperwork for entry into the Caribbean and the islands, the wife would kill me if we got turned away or denied boarding 😂 Gem
  15. Thank you Jennizor and Megabear2, appreciate it, Gem
  16. Would that just be for Barbados ? or would i need one of those for all the other islands? sorry for stupid questions, Thanks for the info though, appreciate it. Gem
  17. Thank you for the quick reply, that information is good to know, I was worried i would turn up for the cruise and they would turn me away for not having right paperwork, Gem
  18. First off, hello to everyone, I am quite new to cruising holidays, I am booked on to P & O Arvia for a 2 week Caribbean cruise from the 03/03/23 from Barbados, This is the 1st time i have booked a cruise direct with the cruise company, so not 100% on what paperwork i need to take with me with regards to all the different islands we will be visiting?? will i need visa's and health questionnaires or any other kind of entry paperwork other than passport for these islands. Any help or tips on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance Gem
