Nothing.  You join the line.  Have not had anyone actually check to see if I was early.  Obviously late not an issue.  By 1pm no lines at all.

Time slots have been in effect for a while in an attempt to stop lines of a few thousand trying to checkin at the same time.

What is the latest time you can check in, approximately?  Want to see Sagrada Familia in Barcelona in the morning if possible.

    Sounds like a great tour.
we did a private tour with Rome in Limo, they are really more drivers than two or guides, but we have always had excellent commentary. The company will make a tour for you, or you can research and find the spots you want to go on your own. I arranged for a private lunch in the vineyards at Tenuta Torciano and it was the most wonderful travel experiences we've ever had. We ate under a beautiful pergola in the middle of the vineyards, and delicious food, and as you said, had nine glasses, sitting in front of us, and had nine tastings. It was so memorable, I hope you can go there.

Funny you say that, because Tenuta Torciano is one of the wineries I scheduled. They have the wine tasting etc around a 3 hour vespa ride. I’m going to arrange a car to take us right to their location near San G and skip Florence altogether that morning. Still looking for the shuttle service for one way Livorno port to San Gimignano.  Best price I’ve found so far is $225.

I feel like I am on another planet from most of these posters. I think it would be perfectly feasible to get to Florence at 10:00 am if the ship docks a 7:00 and the OP has a private driver. That's 2.5 hours even assuming you can't get off the ship for half an hour!  Most of the time I've been off much faster.

I've done the shuffle via taxi to train station to Florence and still managed to get there in just under two hours...

@Cato610 Where does your tour start?

    Near Uffizi.

  4. So related question. We’ve been to Cinque Terre, Lucca, and Florence. My goal was to experience more of the classic Tuscany countryside.  I believe that region is best represented south of Florence, Chianti region?. Most of the tours I’ve found are out of Florence.  What would be the most efficient way to do that out of Livorno port, 2 days there?

    Tour example:

Tick off several of Tuscany's most renowned locations during this full-day Vespa tour. Enjoy a photo stop and farm visit at Fattoria Poggio Alloro and take a guided stroll through the picture-perfect village of San Gimignano, with free time to explore. Tours include a three-course lunch paired with a tasting of nine local wines at Tenuta Torciano.

I was wrong for sure, sounds like a great trip.  I have conditioned myself that if I miss a game, the world will go on.

The game on the 2nd is the first night of the cruise. So combined with jet lag and my antagonism for the “shows”, you will find me in my cabin in a very good/very bad mood.

Last September my Wife found a live UGA game on YouTube of all places while cruising in the Caribbean on Equinox…basic WiFi package..game was airing on SEC Network in the states. Just monkeying around with her Ipad, and there it was.  Very little if any buffering to speak of. You never know.

Re the OP and Penn St, if it is a high enough profile of a game, you may have luck in the casino bar or another bar on board seeing the game.

I have had good luck streaming the radio feed of other games, your team probably has an app for this, I know UGA does.

I’m now seeing you are in Alaska, that will affect the times for sure.  Good luck.

Barcelona on 2nd, Sicily on 9th. Rather not leave it to chance. VPN and stream on ipad.

I can't say that I've tried to stream anything - although we had Premium on our Alaska cruise last summer. Maybe it will work? If not, you know that Penn State is going to beat WVA - lol.

    We Are!

This is the year, my man. Allar and a stacked roster. I’m ready now!  Where are my shoulder pads?

I don't think I've ever had coverage that is good enough to watch live TV. Maybe Starlink has improved service a lot?

@Cato610 You might want to ask the folks in the Casino bar if they can show the games on their TVs. We've seen plenty of Nittany Lions games on cruiseships!

Hmmm. Too slow to stream Youtube TV w/ premium package?

“Premium Wi-Fi puts our best internet at your fingertips throughout your vacation. Message or video chat with your friends and family, browse the web, send emails even with larger files attached, and post on social media to your heart’s content. Plus, you can enjoy videos, movies, binge-worthy shows, and music on your favorite streaming apps.”

    PSU/WVU 9/2 could be a night game = 3am ship time. 😬

If your wife can manage NOT use her WiFi during the football games, then you can log into her account and watch the games. When you buy the package, you can log in at any time for one device. You may log out of one device and log on another device on the same account…just not at the same time. DH do it all the time. Here’s hoping she doesn’t have to work on NCAA Saturdays!! Also, the new StarLink is exceptionally fast for streaming, so you’re enjoyment should be great!

    Extremely helpful info. Thanks!
