We got the ID Now test at the Walgreens drive-through pharmacy window for our 8/26 Magic cruise. It's listed on our lab reports as "Rapid Diagnostic Test (Nucleic Acid Amplification Test NAAT)". We made the appointment two days in advance after hearing CVS was cancelling appointments at the last minute. We had made our CVS appointments about 2 weeks in advance but were going to have to drive to Orlando (about 45-50 minutes away) to get a rapid test done. Walgreen was only 15 minutes away and we got an email with a link to the results about 30 minutes later. It was quick and painless and couldn't have been easier.
Thank you, I feel better. I was starting to stress.

An update:
Had a rapid diagnostic test done at Walgreens about an hour ago (molecular NAAT). Had a PCR test at CVS about 30 minutes ago. Got back to my office and already had the Walgreens results (negative). So, I canceled the Curative PCR test appointment.Thank you for posting! I was looking for info on the Walgreens Rapid Diagnostic (ID Now).

You will have to muster in your designated areas. Everyone has their sail and sign cards scanned in their area.

Those without priority do not get to board with those that do.
Early boarding privileges are no longer afforded to those that need boarding assistance. They board according to their arrival/zone assignment.
17 minutes ago, Organized Chaos said:If you decide to arrive earlier than noon, you will be allowed in the terminal as priority and there's a good chance you'll board the ship earlier, too. As for your family members, Carnival does allow non-priority passengers to board with priority passengers IF they're staying in the same cabin, but since you have different bookings, they won't be able to board early with you. If you want to board together, you're only option is to board later when they do. They stopped giving handicapped passengers early boarding privileges a couple years ago.
Thank you, we’ll arrive at our scheduled 12:00 time.

Going on the Magic in January we have a 12:00 arrival. We will be priority for the first time. Should we go earlier? My daughter and Dad have a different booking then us. They’re not priority, can they board with us? Also Dad will have assistance getting on the ship.
Thanks in advance!

Our favorite place! Cucumber Sunrise is my favorite. Hubby likes to try them all. I’m going to have them whip up a special for me this time around. Can’t wait!

Thank you, everyone! I changed his cabin. Carnival was very accommodating! No extra charge, deposit stayed at the discounted rate. Now I can sleep! 😂

Hi All!
Making a long story short, my Dad (81 years young) wanted to join my hubby and I on our January, Carnival Dream sailing. Well I booked him last night in an interior cabin 10288 on the lido. I didn’t looked at the location after. I know stupid! I’m so worried this is not a good cabin. Does anyone have any insight?
Thank you in advance!

Schwartz is our favorite by far. The others being great but just didn’t stand out as much as he did.

I can’t understand why people are still talking days later about barbarian thugs getting what they deserved!

The way that security handled it is not the only thing at issue, the people in the fight are the start and end of it. But security taking a horrible approach to ending the altercation is not acceptable. What if security had kicked someone in the head and that person died. When they started kicking they also became part of the problem, they were no longer a solution.
I know there are better ways of handling the situation as I stated previously I worked these types of situations for many years. You can do many things to stop this and not one of those things is kicking. The people who started all of this were completely in the wrong and should pay dearly for what they caused. Once it was broken up they were locked in rooms and the next day 6 of the men were escorted off the ship by the police on a boat and then the remaining 14 people with them also left the ship.
When the security team started in as they did it just made things escalate as you can see in the video. More than blaming the security people I blame their lack of proper training to handle a situation like this. 2-3 properly trained people could have stopped this with no escalation rather quickly.
I don’t disagree that the security teams training should be upgraded. I seriously don’t think that 2-3 people could have stopped this gang of 20 violent thugs. Just my opinion but I do respect yours.

Probably going to get flamed but I really can’t believe the responses are more about how security handled these violate thugs. Looks to me, they got what they were giving out to innocent passengers who had to endure their violence. They should have been put off the ship sooner.

Not sure what the “law” is. I was forwarding information from Carnivals Website.
Website reads:
Please note
- Due to state laws, we cannot sell CHEERS! until the second day of the cruise (starting at 6:00am) for voyages departing from our Texas and New York home ports.
-
Program only applicable for onboard purchases.
-
CHEERS! is not offered on 2 day cruises, charter cruises, on ships sailing from Australia (Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend) and beverage purchases made at Half Moon Cay and Princess Cays in The Bahamas.
- Due to state laws, we cannot sell CHEERS! until the second day of the cruise (starting at 6:00am) for voyages departing from our Texas and New York home ports.

Because of a law in NY, The Cheers package can not be used the first night. You will have to pay for your drinks that night. The Cheers package starts (I believe) at 6am the next day. We were charged the same as you, sailing on the Horizon in June

Do you really think they did this on purpose? I really find it to be reaching with all due respect.

I was having trouble also. I cleared my shopping cart, logged out. Started all over. It’s worked!
Good Luck

Thank you!

Probably a silly question. I apologize!
I know you can’t use the cheers package until the second day, not sure why. But can you still purchase cocktails the first day/night?
Thank you

I’m not sure why you’re blaming Carnival, when your Travel Agent didn’t do their job and educate you on the cancellation policies of the cruiseline.

Welcome to sailing with the "New York" crowd. (Before you give me hell for that comment, understand that I used to work at NYPD, and I know of what I speak.)
"SKY"
I have family who are NYPD and FDNY. I respect your job and opinion for where you worked but NOT everyone from New York should be lumped into such a rude comment.
Are all rapid test the same?

We’re from NY, we took our covid tests at Walgreens in Florida. They never asked for our insurance. Test results in 20 mins.
