  1. I haven't cruised in about 4 years. We are booked on Carnival Dream in January.

Last time I was able to purchase a bottle of Baileys or another brand of Irish cream on the "In-Room Gifts and shopping area"

This year I don't see this item any more. I like to make Colorado bulldogs but don't like Kahlua. That way we can make our own cocktails in the room and enjoy the balcony.

Anyone know if I call they can add this item?

    UGH..

  2. We were there last April and will be there in March.Foster's was a little run down, but Argentine Grill very close to it was great. But as someone said the vendors were bad. I had a woman trying to massage my feet, and I thought I would have to kick her off. This is why we are going to Turquoise Bay this time on the less traveled side. We have been all over the island and I am sure it will be a good spot. No entrance fee and they do have transportation.[/font

This place looks nice, let me know how it turns out.

  3. Beachlover76, what did you do in Belize? We've never been but I've read the forums and decided we could sit that one out due to the long tender. If I'm missing out that's not good. Let me know, please

I had read that the tender was really long too, but it was only 15 minutes, and the view was awesome, just like the other poster said, its like a free boat ride with fantastic views. Google Caye Caulker, and look on You tube for Caye Caulker for more insight. That's what we did, before we left on the cruise, plus some of my friends spend a whole week there. Its a really cool place like you have never seen probably, lots of little restaurants, small hotels, bars, places to snorkel, swim and just enjoy the experience. It was about 89 degrees there too.

We took the San Pedro boat taxi round trip to there for 22.50. Lots of fun too.

That is a 40 minute ride, but it only seemed like 20. otherwise you are stuck in Belize City to shop and eat, have drinks.

I still liked it a lot, one of my favorite ports now besides Cayman Islands.

  4. Was just at Fosters last week, thought it was nice and relaxing, yes there are a few people walking around trying to offer their wares, but its like that almost everywhere.

The drinks and food were really good. For 10 bucks we had 2 chairs, umbrella and they watched our things while we took the water taxi to West End. Which is a WHOLE lotta fun to ride along the coast. Just beautiful.

  5. The tender from the ship to Belize city is 15 minutes, and once there we did an on our own day. We walked over to & booked on San Pedro water taxi to Caye Caulker which took 40 minutes to get there. We wanted to catch the 9 am taxi, but just missed it so we had to take the 10:30. The Magic arrived in port by 8, so if we would have tendered off earlier we would have made that time.

Our last tender time back to ship was 3:45 so just to be safe we came back at 1:30. that gave us time to shop in port before getting back on tender to ship.

Then once on Caye Caulker we just walked around, ate, drank and had a wonderful time. great island..a must see.

check out http://www.belizewatertaxi.com it was 22.50 round trip. Fun ride....

  6. :cool:Well we are finally almost ready for vacation. This will be our 6th cruise, and 2nd time on the Magic. We have booked a cove balcony, this is the 2nd time for this type of cabin as well. Loved it last time, have a better location this time.

Wondering if anything new onboard since last cruise on her?

Just booked my parking with EZ cruise, and pulled out my bags to start the planning process.

Only thing left to plan is what to do in Belize.

We have a plan for Roatan, and heading to Mr. Sanchos again in Cozumel.

Hoping that the weather is nice the day we leave..and NO FOG... but if we do,, that's ok because I will be on vacation.

I did notice on the news this morning when we sail, there will also be the Galveston Mardi Gras festivities, so at l least there will be a lot to do if we are delayed.

Can anyone tell me if its a short walk from EZ cruise parking, sometimes the lines are so long in the driveway at the terminal, its easier just to roll our bags to the car.

  7. Well the time is getting closer and closer, and its time to start some major planning.

I think we are going to take a mini bus in Roatan to West End, then after looking around a bit, then do the Water taxi to West Bay.I heard its only 3 bucks one way, and about and hang out on the beach for a while. Then take the water Taxi back??

Has anyone done this ? And if so..what tips do you have?
