We are brand new to RC (and CC). I am not sure where to ask this; but does anyone have any tips for us? I am randomly picking up on things here and there as I peruse this incredible website and message board. I feel like I am bound to miss something, though, because I can't find something like a "tips and tricks" sheet like I did for another cruise line in the past. LOL I am certain it's here somewhere! Just not sure where to find it. Thank you all for your fabulous contributions!!

I ask for a window, not for the view, but to not have others seated by me. I have found tables I like on each ship that are in the corridor areas to the smaller rooms and always ask for one of those. I have a list of tables for each ship. I send it in about 45 days before the cruise and have always had success. I look at my seapass when I pick it up and if it ever were not the table I request then I can go to the MDR and see what table they have assigned and ask to be moved if needed. So far I have always been accommodated.
We are new to RC. This is great information! Where did you get the list of tables and who do we email? I am not trying to be stingy; but we rarely get to visit with our son and DIL (he has been in the military and just got out). We would cherish dinner alone with them.

I just checked the Cruise Planner online for my Adventure cruise this September, and both Chops and Giovanni's are open on embarkation day for lunch.
I find the Cruise Planner to be easier to work with. Select the lunch option, and it shows you all the days lunch is available and what specialty restaurants are open.
I am brand new to RC. I apologize for asking a likely obvious question. But, is cruise planner online vs using the app? I have tried both. I keep thinking there must be a more efficient way to do this. And your way sounds amazing! Thank you for your help!!

I am so glad you asked this question! We are finally booking, also, since pre-pandemic. I am wondering if it's true that the dining experience isn't going to be good enough in MDR. I hate to spend more money on food for our family when we used to enjoy the food on the ships (that was already included in the cost to sail).

I called them this morning. The lady was so helpful and reserved 3 shows for us over the phone.
