  1. I have been on Princees for five cruises and always had a great experience. One ship was 14 years old and I was needlessly concerned.  Cruising is about the entire experience - the guests you meet, the extraordinary service, food, entertainment both in the theater and lounges, and a chance to see a portion of the world.  Have a positive attitude and I'm certain you will enjoy!

  2. We cruised on the Celebrity Infinity, a 21 year old ship in July of 2022, and the Apex in Dec in 2022.  Everything was outstanding and the food was great.  The surprise was that the buffet in both ships was marvelous, perhaps even better than the four main dining rooms.    However, we never had a problem with the restaurants.  Service was excellent and food very good.

On the Apex, nobody was checking if guests were washing prior to entering the buffet.  And fewer mask which is a concern for us.  We take precautions when we feel necessary and are covid free.

  3. My discussion with a Celebrity employee from their executive office (877) 290-5881 disclosed that I can consider the 72 hour rule to be flexible.  My concern was having a 10:00 test on a Wednesday morning and arriving at the pier at noon the following Saturday, thereby have the test within 74-75 hours and not the required 72 hours.  Her advice was to obtain the pre-covid rapid antigen test

3 days prior to the sailing, anytime on a Wednesday before a Saturday sailing.  I asked that this be clarified to all on their website and when we receive the check-in instructions.      However, something makes me uncomfortable not having this in writing as I fear being refused boarding at the pier regardless of my discussion.

  4. I just spoke to a person who works in the office of the CEO for Celebrity.  She assured me that if you have a negative pre-Covid test on, for example, a Wednesday for a Saturday sailing, you will be perfect.

There will not be strict adherence to the 72 hours but the three days instead.  I asked if Celebrity could clarify the "72 hour rule" on its website and when they advise cruisers of this requirement when check-in is required.

  5. In anticipation of the possible requirement that all passengers obtain a negative Covid -19 test no more than 3 days prior to sailing, I contacted both CVS and Walgreens at the suggestion of a Celebrity employee.  The online registration for Walgreens is not working properly and I am informed they will only accept an appointment 3 days in advance of a sailing for a Rapid Antigen test and uncertain of a one hour result.  CVS will provide this test but with a 1-2 day result.  We require a one hour result to be certain this requirement will be satisfied.  Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

    Thank You

  6. We are from Florida and wish to book the 5/14/22 Silhouette cruise.  We are both vaccinated.  Can you confirm that as of today, a covid test is required within 72 hours of boarding, and that only British passengers are permitted to sail?  Thank you
