Will the first week of November be too soon for Christmas decorations? The sailing does not indicate Very Merry Christmas

Carnival responded promptly and my concerns are resolved.

Just got off Disney cruise. They had a place to park scooters, wheelchairs and strollers each night with several outlets for charging.

The mobility questionnaire has been completed. The scooter is 22 inches wide 

Has anyone been denied boarding although the scooter breaks down into parts?

I’m referring to this on the carnival website. There are no fully accessible cabins available.

Guests who bring scooters larger than 21" wide, or travel with multiple scooters in the same stateroom, must purchase a fully accessible stateroom with a wider doorway (32"), or rent a smaller scooter appropriately suited for their stateroom. Guests may be required to have their scooters sized at the time of check-in to ensure it fits in the stateroom. Scooters that do not fit in the stateroom will not be allowed on board. Should a guest be unable to make alternate arrangements to rent a smaller scooter or travel without it, he/she will be denied boarding

Thanks so much. We’re on board and purchased the premium for limited streaming, Wi-Fi calling and face time. So far it’s been good reception. 

Another development ….

Yesterday evening, the Disney Fantasy experienced a technical issue with the propulsion system that is causing the ship to sail at a reduced rate of speed. There is no impact on the maneuverability of the ship, or on the safety of our Guests and Crew.

Until the ship arrives to Port Canaveral and repairs can be completed, we are uncertain if there will be additional impacts to your itinerary. We will provide you an update as soon as we can, but that may not be until after you board the ship tomorrow.

No Bermuda due to Tropical Storm Lee

We have been closely monitoring Tropical Storm Lee, which is currently moving through the Atlantic Ocean and is predicted to become a hurricane later this week. Based on the storm’s current forecast track, Bermuda and the seas around Bermuda will be potentially impacted over the next week and a half, making it unsuitable for cruise travel. As a result, we have made modifications to the itinerary that bypass Bermuda, but adds Cozumel, Mexico, and George Town, Grand Cayman, as well as a second visit to Castaway Cay.        The revised itinerary is below:  Saturday, September 9     Port Canaveral, Florida   Sunday, September 10      Day at Sea   Monday, September 11     Cozumel, Mexico (previously Day at Sea)   Tuesday, September 12     George Town, Grand Cayman (previously Bermuda)   Wednesday, September 13   Day at Sea (previously Bermuda)   Thursday, September 14       Disney Castaway Cay (previously Day at Sea)   Friday, September 15            Disney Castaway Cay   Saturday, September 16        Nassau, The Bahamas   Sunday, September 17          Port Canaveral, Florida

Our Mardi Gras sailing back in '17 was marketed as a Mardi Gras theme cruise however X ran it as simply a sailing that happened to call in NOLA for three days in February.  Very little themed activities or dining.  Fortunately we had well over 1k boisterous CC members on board who created our own fun.  Hopefully X has since upped their game.

Sailing is poorly timed.  Doesn't arrive in NOLA until sometime on Monday so misses many of the big weekend parades.  Little to do Tuesday aside from Rex parade as most of city is shut down for holiday.  Even the outlet center adjoining the dock is closed.  We had a great time on the inaugural Mardi Gras sailing back in '17 which arrived a day earlier.  Only disappointments were lack of Mardi Gras themed onboard events and little late food available after returning from parades.

Strange because the longer sailings seem to sell well in my opinion.
