Hi
I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency hotel before my cruise. Is there a grocery store nearby that I can pick up a case of pop before I board my cruise. If so, where is it located.
Thanks

Hi
Have you looked into Royal Caribbean? I will be on Serenade in less than 22 days and we will be visiting Juneau, skagway, sitika and Hubbard Glacier.
I have been to skagway before and it was not one of my favorite ports but it was ok. I am actually not thrilled about going back to skagway but at least we will see sitika and Hubbard Glacier, two ports that I haven't seen yet. It was a toss up.
I did Holland America almost 3-4 years ago and it catered towards senior citizens. I think I was one of the few cruisers that were younger than 25 yrs old on this ship. They have formal dinners twice a week, which are very formal. I found the ship very mellow and too low-key for me.
Good luck. I booked my cruise in June and it was a tough decision. I looked at the ports and the ship.

Hi
Thank you for your help. I am glad to hear that Holliday inn- downtown broadway centre is near granville island.
Do you know how much the taxi ride is from the Ballyente pier to this hotel?
thanks

Hi Carmen,
I am sorry. I got the Holiday inn-downtown centre on broadway. It is actually close to Granville Island, which works out great because I was planning on spending a day there.
I think the *4 hotels are going for about $140-160. I couldn't see paying that when I am only there to sleep.
Thanks

Hi
Well after my 12 try on priceline, I finally got a hotel in Vancouver, BC for after my cruise. Now, I am trying to figure out where it is at and how close is it to Ballyente pier and granville island. The hotel is Holliday inn- downtown broadway centre. How much is the taxi ride from the Ballyente pier to this hotel?
On another note, any good restaurants around Hyatt Regency for before my cruise.
Thanks

Hi
Well, after bidding 12 times on priceline for Vancouver, BC on Sept 8 for 1 night. I finally won. Got it for $120 for 3 star.
What is so strange is that I bid $120 a couple weeks ago and again 3 days ago for a 4 star hotel and it was rejected. Used free bid both times and changed it to a 3 star and it was again rejected.
I suspect that there is a conference going on, along with a festival. Plus, 4 full ships of passenagers coming and going. I guess it will be busy on this Saturday in Vancouver.

Hi
Priceline can be confusing. Took me a while to figure it out. If you do not want to change the star rating, you must wait 24 hours before changing the price. If you want to change the location or the star-rating, you can rebid and change the price.
Another thing to consider is that it may have not been accepted because it is so far out. I am trying to bid on a hotel for Vancouver for Sept 8 and I have been 8 times with no luck. I was told by someone here that it may be too far out and the rooms are not released yet. I will try in a couple weeks again.
Also, it is not a guarentee that you will get crown. If your heart is set on the Crowne, then book it without priceline. You may get the crowne or you may get some other hotel. You pick the price and the hotel star rating and location, priceline picks the hotel.
Good luck. Once you get a hotel throug priceline, you will be hooked. I love getting 4 star hotels for half the price.

Hi
I will be up in Vancouver a day before my cruise (Aug 31st) and a day after my cruise (Sep 8). I got a hotel though priceline for Aug 31st but for the life of me, I can't get one for Sep 8th. I have gone up to $120 for *4.
Any ideas on what is going on around Sep 8th. I was able to get a hotel for $120 for Aug 31st. I am thinking there is a lot of activities going on during Sep 8th. Any ideas.
Thanks

Hi Carmen
I was able to get a hotel up in Vancouver on Sep 1 for 1 night for $120. BUT I am on my 6th try for Sep 8th. It was not accepted for $120 for *4 or 115 for *3. I am not exactly sure what is going on during this weekend. The only thing that I could think of is that it is cruise session.
Keep trying. You are allowed to bid every 24 hours.

Hi
Great. I will try the one in the mall first. I thought they didn't have cases. If that fails, I will try the other one.
