The advice to clear the cache is correct.  No amount of reinstalling or rebooting will help if the cache is not cleared.  Plenty of online instruction for how to do it, depending upon the type of phone you have.

Doesn't uninstalling an app clear the cache and data, since the app is being removed?

Especially with a new release out, you should go to Guest Services  - they can help.

Guest services had me uninstall and reinstall again, which didn't help. They did help me log in to the Navigator web page, which works, it's just clunkier than the app (when working!) My phone is  a Samsung S23, so it's relatively new. How would I clear the cache?  I've reinstalled multiple times now, and tried while in Ketchikan in case it didn't like the ship ifi, but I'm still getting the same white screen. At least hubby's app still works.

  3. I'm on my first cruise, and I had the Navigator app working for the first 24 hours, but now I just keep getting a blank white screen. I've closed and reopened, rebooted my (Android/Samsung) phone, and uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still tge sane thing. I briefly see the Holland America Navigator screen when I open tge app, then it goes to a blank white screen. Any suggested solutions?  I'm on the Noordam.

  4. Thanks for the tips about the ankle strap, but I don't think I would enjoy that.  I usually like to cycle through 3 strokes, which I am guessing wouldn't work well tethered to a railing.  I'll either aim for the off times to try to get some swimming in, or just accept not swimming for the 7 day cruise.  I usually swim three times a week, so at least I wouldn't be missing a daily activity.

  5. Hi, I will be taking my first cruise soon, on the HAL Noordam to Alaska.  Are either of the pools on the Noordam suitable for lap swimming, or are they too small or crowded?  Do they have any designated times (or portions of the pool) that are for lap swimmers rather than other activities?  Also, do they keep the water relatively warm, and is it chilly on the pool deck when you are at sea in Alaska in August?  Thank you.

  6. Do you get to choose your washing/drying instructions, and are they good about following those?  I'm thinking I would just want cold/gentle/tumble dry low for everything to make sure that the more delicate items aren't damaged. (I'm also planning to mostly bring clothes that have easier washing instructions instead of items requiring 'line dry/dry flat.')
