Rooky cruisers will be overwhelmed on their first cruise, I recommend that you just be with them there to advise them and answer questions. remember "your" first cruise ?

If you go on an excursion, equipment will be available there (free to use) next best thing: buy your own snorkel (eBay), or get mask & snorkel (eBay) Try sizes at sporting goods store for correct fit. We always cruise with 2 sets of fins, masks, and snorkels (and my weight belt)

I got all of mine on Ebay, had to take 2 weeks to get all in my size but got tux, shirt, shoes, studs, and tie ....... all for $125

Get a camera with a "viewfinder' (no squinting), night or low light pix, and better pictures ! You can get a good camera on eBay for $10 to $20.

That's like asking "how far can you go on a gallon of gas ?" Need more on you & what you want to do, or try, or see, or buy, or none of .

We just finished our 14th Carnival cruise in Feb. I have 14 Carnival pins around my ball cap. (have to spend a lot of money to get a hat to look like that) It's a conversation starter.
Red, I was amazed
blue, knew a bit more :)
Gold, thought I knew it all
platinum, still learning, but getting on board quicker ! :D

I have an Olympus with underwater case, a Canon power shot sx120is for the multiple settings, and wife has a Nikon for general shipboard pix Got all of them on eBay for great prices ! Talk to someone with some experience for what you need !

Better off getting what you need "online" or from a store before you go. Snorkels on the ship are not good (too short). I get all my gear from eBay because I know my size mask and fins.

Fulton street parking. "cruise package", $12 per day, transportation to and from the ship, no waiting in car line. We will be using them for our cruise 2/16/14 Sunshine.

In Nov.2011, NOLA will have 2 CCL ships, NCL 1, and RCL 1. I don't think they will all sail full. CCL might find that moving the Elation from Mobile to NOLA was not such a good idea after all. Just my thoughts:o

Anyone interested in having one for the 9/23/07 cruise? Looks like over 36 CC people will be on this cruise.

I voted for the Chrysler PT Cruiser. I have never owned a Chrysler, but I see the PT Cruiser as the "under dog" that really surprises people when they really give it a chance.
This car is less money than it should be because it's rated for "c.a.f.e." as a truck.(cruise for less because of high volumn of pax) It also has the earlier styling (golden age of cruising). All the modern conviences you want as options ( much to do, or not.... when cruising) It's a "fun" car (it's the fun ship !):p
Do YOU always participate on formal nights?

Took 3 weeks looking on eBay to get all of the tuxedo "stuff" (because of being a "small") Cost: $105 for everything! The only chance to dress up now is on a cruise, I enjoy it, don't care about what others wear. Besides, I make a tuxedo look ............................ Good ! Always do the main dining room and try for a large table ( I like meeting new tablemates, all have been really good on 14 cruises) #15 is April 26th. on the Dream If you see me, just keep drinking till I start to look good !
