Thanks everyone! We decided to go with a different room type to get cabin in between two floors of cabins.

Well, we stayed on Emerald deck (Deck 8 ) above the Piazza, but it was a balcony cabin - so not directly overtop of the interior piazza portion.  Didn't hear any noise whatsoever, but maybe an interior cabin might.

We are looking at the cabana minisuites on Deck 10 of the Sun Princess. Most of them are in the sphere, but I know other ships don't have that.

I'm looking to take my first Princess cruise, and the only cabins left in the class I want are on the floor above the Piazza. Has anyone stayed in a room located over the Piazza? If so, how was it?
