Not sure if you are interested but we took a small local water taxi (ten minute walk from the pier, 35 pesos) across the inlet to "Isla Piedras" (stone island, not a real island) where there is a long beach and lots of restaurants with outdoor seating and we gorged on ceviche and margaritas while the kids played in the surf. We had a fantastic time for pennies.
