Fine for lunch, fine for drinks only and I believe kids are welcome, definitely seen teenagers in there.
The dessert flights are definitely worth trying.

Great thanks for this can you just turn up?

Hi Everyone
Such a great forum this. Question re the Glass House on Britannia. I like the sound of the food and the wine flights. Could we go here for lunch and just have a wine flight? Do we need to book and is there any kind of dress code at lunch?
Also wondering is this an adult only venue or can well behaved kids sit down?
Many Thanks

Take snorkelling gear for 14 year old, and a set for yourself, if they like swimming of course. Easy to do from most beaches, no need for pro trip, some beaches better for coral and fish than others. Beach toys for little ones, you don’t see that many around ports. Some beaches have inflatables to use, trampolines, rib rides and jet skis to hire.
When we traveled with our kids we took them to Dickinson Bay on Antigua
To see planes at Maho beach on St Maarten
To see Pirates of Caribbean film set on St Vincents
To see Pitons and drive in volcano on catermaran trip with snorkelling
You’ll see in excursion from ship there’s a load of things you can do, but you’d be best judge of what you want a 3 year old to do, or won’t bore a 14 year old😆. Our kids were 6 & 9 when we did our first Caribbean cruise and lapped it up. You may not get them out of the kids club!Obviously ships excursions going to be more expensive and everything is available from taxi drivers waiting at port whether it be island tours or beach shuttles. Depends on how comfortable you are going your own way. Caribbean ports are great to get round on your own and most are incredibly friendly and helpful.
Loads of info on Ports of Call for you to get idea of prices of taxi etc. Ship App also a good place to look.
Thanks very much that’s really helpful.

Hi Everyone
Just thinking about trips for a cruise in December on Brittania around Antigua, St Maarten, St Lucia, St Vincent amongst others. Anyone recommend any trips with kids aged 3 and 14?
Is it better to book with the ship or try and find something separately?
Many Thanks

Just back from Britannia's New Year cruise, and I can confirm there is no booking of entertainment, just turn up. The biggest problem we had was dinner overrunning and finishing too late for the show at 10:30pm, and that was with 8:30pm club dining. Dreadfully slow. On more than one occasion had to skip coffee, and even desert to make the show.
Perfect thanks for your help on this did you ever have trouble getting into shows? Seeing as you did the exact same cruise a couple of questions for you if possible?1. Was NYE a party on the top deck?
2. We are in a cabin on deck 9 at the very front - seems like kids club etc is at the very back. How long do you reckon that would take to get to as I am wondering if I should swap to a mid cabin.
3. Was it fairly calm in terms of movement on the boat?
4. any trips you would particularly recommend?
Sorry for the questions but all new to me!

You can register them for the clubs shortly before you go away, which saves you a job when you're on board, then each morning the release the slots for the following day's sessions, 10am -12noon, 2pm-5pm and 6pm-11pm, the morning session is only available on sea days. Sessions are booked through the "My Holiday" 'app' (intranet page).
Parents/guardians will scan the kids in and out during those sessions, it's all worked really well for us.
Thanks did you ever find spaces were full?

Hi Everyone
Im a bit confused re Headliners Theatre on Brittania. Do I need to pre book to go to one of the evening shows? Not going until December but I had thought you just turn up?
Our flight doesn’t arrive until the day after some people so I’m a bit worried people on the boat the day before us will book stuff up? Anyone know how they manage this?
Many thanks!

We are going on a New Year’s Eve cruise with p and o on Brittania. I was surprised to see YouTube videos of the deck party at midnite and people didn’t seem dressed up at all? I thought it would be tuxes etc

Hi Everyone
Booked our first cruise with P and O this December on Brittania. It’s a minefield learning all the various things you need to know! One question I’m struggling with;
We have a three year old and 14 year old. I’m no sure the younger one will always be keen to go in the kids club in the evening. We don’t want to be stuck in our cabin as that’s not much of an evening. Therefore I’m wondering are kids allowed in the bars/entertainment? Specifically I have seen a venue called Live Lounge which seems to have singers/bands on. They would happily sit watching that or an iPad while we enjoyed an evening. Is this allowed?
Not talking about every night but it would be nice of an evening to all relax watch some music singers etc with them sat (well behaved!),
Any help greatly appreciated or indeed any other advice for a cruise with kids!? I’m guessing on New Year’s Eve they have a party on the deck somewhere so all welcome?
Best wishes
David
