  1. On our recent Royal Caribbean Cruise (May 2024) we booked a private tour with Gone Caribe. From the booking and picking the places we wanted to see through the meet up and tour it was easy and positive. In our initial email request I noted our likes and they came back with a suggested itinerary. I provided some feedback and it was tweaked to meet that feedback. Sherwin was our Tour Guide and Poff was our Driver and they were both amazing and made out experience so much fun. They were a great team! We left feeling like we spent time with friends. we visited the caves (very cool and very warm so good to go early). We then stopped to see flamingos who took off in flight - which we all found exciting and Sherwin said was rare to see. Our next stop was Shete Boka National Park and blowing rock which was beautiful. It is desert like with a beautiful crashing coast. We were very glad not to be hiking there, although several people were, as it was very hot with little shade. There was a herd of goat there. Sherwin took great pictures of our group through out but especially at blowing rock which was spectacular. We went to the beach after the National park, where there were turtles around a fishing dock. My brother-in-law loved this as he was able to swim so close with the turtles, (with a reminder in advance not to touch the turtles). Gone Caribe originally recommended Playa Kenepa Chikitu which was probably the better option for us girls, but my BIL's happiness made up for it. Sherwin had reservations at Playa Forti which was next and so yummy. People were jumping off the cliff and it was a cool to watch as well as see the beautiful beach an sea. We ordered Keshi Yena, Goat Stew and Grilled Conch all of which were new to us but delicious. It was great to try these local dishes with easy conversation with Sherwin and Poff. This was the best way to end the tour. Through out the experience we learned a lot about the culture and people and what a great place Curacao is. When returned to our port and that evening, all we talked about was Sherwin and Poff and our Curacao experience and the great time we had! The price was comparable to other excursions but far exceed our expectations. When we return we will definitely be contacting Gone Caribe. There is so much to see and do and, while we saw a lot, we barely scratched the surface!
  2. We visited this resort from our Royal Caribbean cruise mid May. It was everything we hoped for and more. The snorkeling from the beach was great. Water shoes are a must and the beach is hard rocks and then big rocks, but the amount of fish within a few feet was amazing. The lazy river and pool were lovely. We were able to get chairs under a tree for shade all day long. Food and drinks were very good as was the service. When we were ready to leave the front desk called a taxi for us. We will definitely return and would consider this for a family vacation.
