  1. Dined in Sindhu on Brittania back in May with no issues. Food and service was good.

Currently on Arvia and dined in Sindhu about five nights ago. It was a totally different experience. Service was exceptionally slow to the exasperation of all diners. Dirty plates left on tables for a good 45 between courses. Following numerous complaints more experienced staff were brought in and started admonishing the wait staff. Was uncomfortable viewing but near 3 hours for a dinner is a tad excessive. Food wasn’t of the same standard either. Other than one slow night in a MDR the service overall has so far been good.

  2. We stop in Valencia next month and there is a bookable ‘excursion’ which consists of a transfer to the Old Town. As such I can assume the regular shuttle drop off is still at the Science Park.

  3. I mentioned this on another thread recently that ultimately it comes down to revenue. For a venue that size to take so little revenue means it’s repurposing is inevitable.

I was staggered it was on there in the first place as it attracts a limited clientele and doesn’t fit with marketing and target audience of the ship. Not sure who made the decision but the why of it and the rationale would be very interesting indeed.

  4. It’s a niche market for that type of cuisine and it doesn’t correlate with the majority of those on board. Seemed a strange decision to allocate it such a large space and it won’t have been based on customer preference/common sense, but more trying to fit that vegan ideology that was supposedly gathering traction several years back. The bottom line is that money matters to the company and they won’t indulge a venue with such low occupancy each night bringing in so little revenue. It’ll be a complete change when in for its refit in a few years.

  5. This seems like a simple problem to solve but bureaucracy is causing further unnecessary stress at such a difficult time.

I suspect this isn’t a totally unique scenario and P&O should be doing everything they can to help and support a valued customer. Surely if the poster can provide evidence of his fathers death certificate this should be enough for the company to amend the booking - even if it requires escalation to a more senior member of staff to make this decision.

I assume P&O officials read forums such as this and should pick up on this issue and look to resolve it instead of passing someone from pillar to post whilst they are grieving.
