25+ Club (3/20)

  1. I think that's right. I bid 10-15% over the minimum and am 4 for 5. That's for an upgrade from a balcony to a mini-suite. For the Majestic next month, I am trying to move from a mini-suite to a full suite. I am about 25% over the minimum bid. That's as high as I am willing to go.
  2. My cruise on the Sky is in January. I was able to book specialty dining as soon as the booking was completed last month (long before final payment is due).
  3. That was my thought as well, but I did add $100 per person so it worked for them. Three days later, they hit me again with another e-mail and I ignored it.
  4. I agree. I suspect (hope?) that Princess limits the number of Premier Packages that it sells so there aren't any problems with specialty dining. I can appreciate that specific times in specific restaurants may not always be available, but if specialty dining is just full every night, Princess is going to have a lot of very unhappy passengers. And I am sure we will hear from them!
  5. Yet no one has reported a problem. And limited is far different from unavailable.
  6. I'm on the Majestic in November. Already booked specialty dining every night.
  7. I find them a good bargain overall, but realize they are not for every single passenger. I think many don't add up what the cruise costs them at the end of the day but instead just look at the upfront cost of the package and not realize they are mostly going to spend more than that unless they stiff the staff and drink still tap water all day. Then others make what are facially lame excuses as to why they are not buying a package instead of just ignoring the issue or stating it won't be good value for them.
  8. It sounds to me like you are looking for an excuse to cancel the Premier Package. Not one person on a Premier Package has claimed they are unable to obtain specialty restaurants reservations on board. You can also demand a refund should they actually be unable to deliver on the package benefits.
  9. "Can't" provide? You didn't even board the ship to find out.
  10. The number of people that fit into ALL of those categories would be very, very small.
  11. Just because you cannot make reservations in advance on the awful app does not mean you cannot make them once on board. I have never had a problem with specialty dining on board.
  12. That has not been my experience at all on four cruises with the Premier package. Quite the contrary, actually.
  13. You don't pay gratuities? You don't use the internet? Drink coffee? Drink soft drinks? Don't visit the "casual" paid restaurants? Don't like "Premium Deserts"? Don't use Ocean Now? Don't use room service? No alcohol? It's hard to imagine one who spends less per day than one spends on a Plus Package.
  14. I already bid about double the minimum.
  15. Reserve seating is only for the production shows. I have yet to have a problem getting two seats together, quite easily actually, 15-minutes before showtime.
