Although the salmon have started moving upstream in July, it’s not as dense as we had hoped. We have now learned that August is the prime time to see salmon & the bears that feed on them. 

 

 

But for my husband & son, who are fishing fanatics (& also want to see more wildlife), August would have been the better option. 

That's good to hear!  We're doing the Denali Explorer CT so we'll be doing some fishing near Talkeetna (among other things) before we board in Whittier on the 31st.
