We stayed in 3144 on Constellation for a transatlantic. It's a great cabin. 3142 and 3144 have their own private entrance. You need to use your seapass to enter the passageway for these two staterooms, or you can ask the cabin attendant to keep it unlocked so you only had to push or pull the door. We had friends in 3142, so it was not a problem. He used duct tape over the latch.

These two cabins were designed for a family similar to the S-Class where you had doors cordoned off in the passageway so you only had to enter one door to gain access to the alcove for the two connecting staterooms.

There are two storage closets in that area, one with a deep sink, that the attendants use, but we never heard any noise from them from our cabin.

As far as kitchen/food prep area, never knew or questioned what was in that area and never heard a peep from that area.

I consider either 3142 or 3144 as great cabins. You have no one wandering around in that area, and it is quiet and private.

Actually, the only stateroom in that entire area I would avoid would be 3140. Folks coming off the elevators and entering that passageway can see directly into the cabin if you are coming and going. It's not like walking down the passageway and having to look to either side -- you are looking directly into the stateroom when you enter the passageway.

Hi. Not sure if you are still active on here. I’m staying in 3144 next year. Does it have the larger window? Thanks.

You may be eligible for a "one-category upgrade" and that means Prime Inside for the price of deck 2/3. Have to do it at the time of booking. You will pay the lower deck price for Prime. I did exactly this on my upcoming Eclipse and booked deck 9.

    How do you do this?

we live in the UK and never travel without medical insurance.

Our Insurance company settles everything direct with the hospital wihout us having to pay a single cent.

Our biggest claim to date was for the  2 nights we both spent in the Marina Del Rae Hospital (now closed) in LA  with food poisoning where the bill was $15,000 (makes your 5 days in the UK look a bargain). The total claim including extra hotel costs ( our bags were in the room) and new flights to New Zealand came to $20,000 - again all settled without us paying anything.

We have annual worldwide insurance covering an unlimited number of trips provided no trip is more than 31 days. Trips must start and end in the UK.

Do you mean the cruise ship must start and end in UK or the flights? Who are you with?

A longer stay, something that would run to six figures, would also provide more time to organize the necessary finances.

For more normal 'events', I'd say it'd be best to have an ordinary card good for $30K, and an Amex with some good history that could make up any differences.

People who are accustomed to being billed after the hospital submits the bill to their insurance company, or who rely on 'national health', are often rudely surprised when they discover that when they travel in much of the world, while there's no 'cover charge' to get in, you gots to pay to get out.

I certainly could not afford to pay for the treatment up front. Not everyone that cruises is well off..

Yes if you have a refundable, and still prior to 90 days otherwise it's all in the cruise contract about changes etc can be made to itineraries overall.

Seems weird that they can completely change your itinerary and if it’s non refundable you can’t do a thing about it.

With this being a year plus out, these type of changes can happen very easily with ports.  Key west like mentioned is definitely trying to limit the ships, well a group of people are trying to limit the ships but that is changing all the time there.

Can you cancel a cruise with no financial penalty if they change the ports before you sail?

If you follow a topic then you will be notified. I also use the content I posted in stream as default so any posts on this topic will put it on my first page.

But I do follow and I keep getting notified of off topic posts. That’s my point.

Off topic comments keeps this topic on the first page. It can drop 10 pages by the time someone is offered Power up Points and in that case they will probably start a new thread.

The answer to that is for the mods to pin the post if possible.

@Blues51, gone are the days of free alcohol on the major cruiselines’ ships.  Depending on where you book your cruise from or what added packages are being discounted, you might wind up with a beverage package with wine included.

We booked our first Celebrity cruise for 2025 with a well-established online TA, because they were offering refundable deposits, some on-board credit, basic WiFi and the Classic Beverage Package.  For medical reasons, I no longer drink alcohol, but will be able to have all of the mocktails/virgin drinks, teas, sodas, coffees, bottled waters, etc. that I want without worrying about an added cost.  My husband can order from the Classic Package cocktails or pay the difference to a higher tiered liquor brand, if interested.

Hi. I am afraid you can't get soda on the classic according to this leaflet. Classic is the light grey section on the left. You can get it on the non alcoholic package though. 😞

Edit: Scrap that, looks like they just missed it off the leaflet according to this thread.

  11. Celebrity are normally quite good responding on Facebook messenger. I have a problem open with them at the moment about an excursion I purchased yesterday and it was not showing their side. They were quite cooperative on messenger yesterday but are not answering any of my questions all day today. Wonder if their systems are down?

On our October 2025 and January 2026 sailings Premium Access Wi-Fi & more is $17.99/pp  and Premium Wi-Fi is $27.99  🤔  so we booked Premium Access. $10 cheaper and get more perks.

But you have to have premium access for everyone in the cabin. So paying $17.99 x 2.

Just got off Celebrity Edge, thought I'd report on the coffee situation.

I never saw pre-pulled shots at Al Bacio. I also never got coffee there since I'm a single origin snob.

I didn't bother to ask my room attendant for a kettle. I ground beans I brought with me every morning and used hot water from the dispensers in the cafe to make a pour over. Worked great.

For the times I was too lazy to do that I just got the Lavazza from the cafe and added enough cream and sugar to make it drinkable.

Will they give you a kettle on all of the ships?
