I sure hope they return to service in time for the January South America/Antarctica cruises. We have had to rebook this one 3 times already.
-
I would ask the company.

It was one of our best excursions ever! Had a blast! There was nobody else on the tour with us do it was like having our own personal tour.

we also have bought GeoBlue for many years. Thankfully never had to use it, but reassuring to have it just in case!

We are doing the dune buggies and beach with Marysol tours

Is it possible to walk into town to see the umbrella street and pink alley?

That's what I thought, but when I call NCL they tell me Amber Cove, even after I tell them that people on the Escape say they are at Taino Bay!!!
-
We are on Escape 2/12 sailing and wondering if we will be docking for Puerto Plata at the new Taino Bay or still at Amber Cove? I need to know for sure to tell our excursion company where to pick us up! I'm getting conflicting information about this ....

I'm hoping by our sail date they change that rule of cruises after Feb 1 needing to have a negative test within 48 hr, and instead test at the pier at NCL's expense like they are doing for cruises up to Jan 31. We will be at Disney for the two days prior to sail and will not be able to get to a testing site.

Yes, please! Not only for your safety, but for others, too.
Stay Safe and Happy New Year!
Just trying to figure out what we do if we test positive at the pier. Certainly can't go on the airplane! Does NCL provide hotels or do we have to try to find one on our own. We will not have our own car...

we would have to quarantine somewhere, don't we?

We are on Feb12 Escape. I guess we plan on trying to cruise - have air and hotel pre-cruise with Disney tickets already paid for. If we test positive at the pier I guess we can try to rent a car and drive somewhere in Florida for the week. Problem would be trying to find hotel reservations at that late date, most are already reserved since that is a winter break week. Also where to get car rental last minute without paying a fortune!

I am on Feb 12 sailing and was able to book a reservation.

Just got back from Windstar cruise. We saw no tour operators on the dock in Rangiroa. We booked our drift snorkel through the ship.

Yes the good ones fill up.

Airlines require a PCR test, not rapid. They test you before boarding the ship, but if your test in the US was within the 72 hours you do not need to be tested at the dock. Windstar does it onboard for you 3 days before your flight out. You have to pre-order and pay for the tests ahead of time then make an appointment with the ship doctor once you are onboard.

We did the e-bikes around Huahine through Windstar and really enjoyed it. They stopped at a resort for 45 min where we could snorkel or have a drink. Did the jet skis on Motu Mahaea through Windstar, also offered on Raitea. I didn't try to book on my own (cheaper, I know) because I figured they were all contracted to the ship. Did Dr. Poole and it was fine for dolphins, but he did not do whale watching which was kind of disappointing, stayed inside the lagoon. We only found out a week before sailing that we could do independent tours so I didn't have a chance to re-book anything. Some people did the Coral Garden drift snorkel and said several people got hurt on the coral because water levels were low, and many others said the current was so fast they really didn't get to see a lot. We loved the stingrays and sharks in Bora Bora, on the second day did the 4 x 4 jeep tour and also loved that. Good luck with your flights - we had one on Air Tahiti Nui through American canceled and then re-booked on Air France, which also canceled about two weeks before we left! Luckily we were able to book something on United at the last minute.

We just returned from 11 day sailing Aug 1 on Wind Spirit. Everything went well, tested before leaving US, tested upon arrival in PPT airport, tested before boarding ship, tested again before flying home. Crew onboard wore masks all the time, we had to wear masks only in indoor spaces. We had heard just before we flew home that the CDC had declared Tahiti in the red non-travel zone, so we feel we may have just made a small window to travel there.

I ordered ours for Aug 1 Tahiti.

Even though Princess kept telling me the credit had been applied, I was unable to see it. Today it showed up on my personalizer! I printed it for sure - feel much better with the written proof in case there is a problem when I am onboard.
-
Mine does not show in either of those places but the customer relations person insists that it is applied to my reservation! I’m so confused... but tired of calling Princess and getting the same runaround
-
After talking to Princess, they said to email customer relations, which I did. They then called back and said they had applied it to my future cruise. I keep watching and don't see it there, so I emailed them again and they called back again and said it is there. How are you folks seeing the credit? How do I get into this "cruise personalizer" you say it shows up in?

I know. I was so excited, thinking what a nice gesture from Princess. Now I am just disgusted, seems they never really meant to give it out at all!

Called Princess today and after many sessions "on hold", the woman told me the credit disappears Dec 7, because it says you have to book a cruise by Dec 7 to apply the OBC to. She said you had to personally tell them to apply the credit to a cruise you have booked (before Dec 7). I thought it was automatically applied to a future cruise. She suggested I write to customer relations to see if they can straighten it out. She also said there was no record of me having been approved for this promotion at all anyway!! I told her I had the email from Sheer ID verifying me and saying I was approved, and I had seen the OBC in my cruise personalizer for a brief moment before it disappeared. I will attach the email in my letter to the customer relations and see what they say! Wish me luck ....

We just got back from Princess cruise and there was a lobster night each week, but you were only allowed the one lobster tail per person.
