Thanks for the great review. We have not been on Adventure since 2009. Excited to cruise on her again for our 40th Anniversary next year.
-
Thanks so much for your reply. Is the balcony on the hump bigger than the afts?
-
Looking at a 5 day cruise on Brilliance to add on to my Independence Thanksgiving cruise. D2 Cabins Hump cabin 9592 is available and also Aft cabins 8168, 8170, 8172, 8670.
We love the afts but was wondering about maybe trying a hump cabin.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions

If you decide to do both ships you could use the day at the hotel to do your laundry and do some site seeing.
-
I have been on both the Adventure and the Jewel. Totally different class ships. The Jewel has an atrium and lots of glass you can see the ocean from all over the ship. The Adventure has the promenade. Love them both. Instead of a back to back, how about doing a side by side. Take the Jewel the first week get off stay in a hotel one night and then take the Adventure. You will get to have the best of both worlds.

What happens if you do a side by side and the first cruise bumps you up to the next C&A level? The next cruise you are on a different ship will you be able to use the new C&A benefits? I know it is pretty easy if you are on the same ship but may be a little more difficult on a different ship.

We are booked on the Indy Eastern Caribbean for Thanksgiving. The 8th day won us over. Nice Itinerary too. We have been to all the stops except St Kitts also. May stay on the ship at one of the ports.

Quiet places onboard the Adventure of the Seas:
- Champagne Bar (Deck 5)
- Solarium (Deck 11)
- Library (Deck 7)
- Viking Crown Lounge (Deck 14)
- Skylight Chapel (Deck 15)
-
We love the Promenade Cafe. You can go in there for a slice of pizza or sandwich. My husband loves to stop by and grab some cookies and coffee. Our favorite place to get a quick snack.
Viking lounge is a great place to go during the day. It is usually quiet and great place to read a book and watch the great view. Unless they use it for a Diamond Plus Lounge then stay away because it will be crowded.
Also check out the chapel it is the highest point on the ship.
I think there is also a small movie theater on board somewhere. Great on a sea day.
Lots of fun things to do on this ship!!!

Wow thanks for the great review!! We have only been on voyager and Radiance class ships. Looking forward to trying out a freedom class ship. We love the promenade cafe on the Adventure. My hubby's favorite place to grab some coffee and a snack. How is it different on the Indy? No pizza but everything else the same?
-
I'll be on Indy next week (Mar. 15th sail-away) and will be in 6640, as soon as I am back I will post as many pics/video as I can!
Thanks so much. :)

Thanks everybody for your advice. I thought maybe the 6632 might have a bigger balcony being on the end. Is that true? Or just looks like it on the charts?
-
Looking at an 8 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise on The Independence of the Seas. Really good prices on E2 s. We usually stay in aft cabins but they are sold out. There are 3 hump cabins are left on Deck 6. 6632, 6338 and 6336. Which one would have the biggest balcony and best view? 6632 is on the starboard side on the end of the hump and 6638 and 6636 are on the port side mid hump.
Thanks for you help.
-
How did you figure that out? I can't even find a cabin numbered 10341. The highest number in the 300 series is 10330.
If you transposed the numbers and meant cabin 10314 then, yes, it is a bed by the balcony cabin.
Yes I transposed it sorry.
10314
-
If I looked at it correctly. The cabin is on the right. So bed by the balcony. Yaaa
-
Where is the bed in cabin 10341?
Thanks for your help.
-
Deck - 10
Cabin # - 10341
Class – D7

Was wind a problem?
Any specific problems with this cabin?

Clo was on my Jewel of the Seas transatlantic last March and she was absolutely the best! We had Bill Brunckhorst on the Brilliance in Dec. 07, just three months prior and he was nowhere as good or funny as she was.
My absolute favorite was Clo on the Jewel with Mike Szwajkowski on the Adventure a close 2nd.
Clo's boy was so cute last year when he would come out on stage in all kinds of costumes :)

Hi, we just "won" the Courtyard Mariott Miramar for $125 for 2/7/09 for 2 nights. I guess it will be ok. Is there something we have to do now:confused: do you call the hotel or anything to confirm?
Thanks,
patti
Congratulations on your win. Sign up for the Marriott rewards program, then call and ask them if you can add your number to your reservation.
Sometimes it helps you get upgraded rooms and extras. Can't hurt to try. Debbie

[quote name='Sass4']Hi
I would like this hotel pre cruise night of 2/21/09. Which search area should I use?
So it's no stars
and check Resort
then ....Thanks!![/quote.
First check San Juan and resort only. Then put in your first bid $____. I would bid at least $140 for that time of the year. ( High Season)
If denied, add any area except Rio Grande-Humacao. Keep increasing your bid until accepted or run out of areas. You need to have a limit in mind of how high you will be willing to go. Becareful not to get too carried away bidding that you go over your limit. Remember there is also fees and taxes added to your total. This process may take a few days to weeks to win something.
It's really the luck of the draw. I won Marriot Stellaris for my pre-cruise stay but won Caribe Hilton for my post-cruise stay. I bid exactly the same for both but it just depends what is available and what they are willing to accept. If you only bid on resorts, you are guaranteed to get a great room. All the Priceline resorts are very nice. Good Luck and have fun. :)Debbie -
Keep bidding everyday. It's not too early. They offer different properties all the time. Good luck Debbie
-
What do you think about the Caribe Hilton in comparison to the Marriott? Have you ever stayed there? Debbie
-
Not sure if I should be happy or not. I won Marriott Stellaris for my pre-cruise. Will I be disappointed with Caribe Hilton after staying at the Marriott? Debbie
-

Royal Caribbean used to have it in the main dining room years ago. It has gone the same way as the chocolates on our pillows, midnight chocolate buffet and Crown and Anchor returning guest gifts for lower level members. Cost cutting measures....
