  1. WoW --- Love you people.....heaven forbid anyone wants to have a chicken wing party. It's actually a legit, straight up, serious question. I fully understand it is called room service and have no problem schlepping it up to the Windjammer for us to enjoy after a fun evening out and WJ is closed. I guess we'll wait and see what happens. I appreciate each and every response. It's all good in the neighborhood. At first, it may seem like an outlandish question....but in actuality, it's nothing more than an upstate ny family wanting to indulge in some chicken wings under the stars at a really good price....

  2. Suppose I want to place a very large order for our family 12......10 orders of chicken wings, 4 burgers, 4 salads, 5 orders of fries, 3 dozen cookies, you get the picture.....

    a) Will they take this order?

    b) how long will it take?

    c) How easy will it be to bring to Windjammer area (can it be delivered there?)

  3. Holy Cow .... so a website had an amazing deal for $400 pp for an inside. Only catch....has to be TWO people exactly, no more no less....we have an odd number in our family.....my friend has an odd number in his family. Together we have 10.....in the end.....my Dad is booked with my friend's youngest daughter.

The agent (from the website) said DAD and daughter do not have to check in the same time. Daughter can check in with her family (mom dad and siblings) at different time. She said it's no different if two friends book a room together, both don't need to be there at EXACT time. She said the daughter being a minor puts a little wrench, but if Mom and Dad are there, should be NO PROBLEM. Can anyone confirm that this will NOT be a problem when boarding?

Next question.....so we have two rooms....dad and daughter / mom and daughter.....Standard inside room [couldn't get connecting rooms]....Daughters are 3rd grader and 3 years old. We most likely will just all sleep in the same room. Will the steward make the couch as a bed every night if we ask? Worst case....mom and the girls, and me solo.....

Any advice, thoughts, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. We're looking forward to this cruise. There are 12 of us all together going, possibly 16 consisting of friends and family.

  4. We've been on many cruises (RCI, Celebrity, Carnival, and Princess). We love cruises. We are a young family and are looking to do a Caribbean cruise on the Luminosa and I can't find too much information on this cruise line or this ship. We saw a few videos, one in particular on youtube that raised some red flags

--- Have to pay for Pizza?!?!?!

--- Two set dining room times?!?! [no anytime dining]

--- Buffet has limited times and is the only place to get "free food"

None of these are deal breakers, but curious to hear about this cruise line, pros and cons. Looking for honest opinions on this specific ship. I searched the forum about caribbean cruises on this ship and nothing came up.....

Tell me everything about Costa. Thank you.

This is when I wish we could share the name of travel agencies because I don't know which one this is and I love to scope out the deals.  I thought we got a good one this week for Summit in November, so now I'm curious!

    Hiccups......

I've used this site so many times for our Vacations. The site is easy to find. Go try searching Google.com , I would think it would come up pretty easily. Between my parents and I, we have booked over two dozen cruises with this agency. Sometimes YOU have to read between the lines to find THAT great deal!

  6. Dear All:

I see that the movie screen has been installed!!! Woo!!! Hoping for some family movies at night on our cruise. However, someone mentioned on FB, be tough to sit or lie down on the grass for a 2-hour movie and I have to agree.

Could one somehow bring up pool chairs up there? Or is that not possible. Never been on Celebrity nor have an idea how the ship is fully laid out.

    Thoughts?

I don't think you want to remove the gratuities,  but the prepayment of them,  correct?   I think you have to call Celebrity for that.

We like to prepay gratuities in advance as it's one less thing to worry about.....many times we don't spend too much money on a cruise ship. A couple photos and that's about it.....it's my understanding that if we dont use the OBC that our TA gave us, it does away.....

I thought....ok fine.....remove the tips.....OBC can be used to pay tips (at least on other lines you can)....and then pay the gratuities again minus the OBC we didn't use. Make sense? Is that kosher?

  8. As part of our booking, we got $50 on board credit (OBC). We went ahead and prepaid our gratuities as well with our credit card. In the rare event we only spend $25 on board. Can we remove $25 from gratuities and then use our remaining $25 OBC to replenish what we took off of gratuities?

More than likely, we'll spend the $50, but we're not drinkers and we're not gamblers...we tend to buy a couple photos and that's about it.....

Anyone with experience on this, let me know. Thanks in advance.
