  1. The Hyatt SFO also offers a great park n fly parking and I feel their parking area is far more secure. the last time we did park and fly I found the Hyatt cheaper than the El Rancho and included more days of parking but no free breakfast. I grew up in Millbrae and was married just across the street from the El Rancho. If you do stay at the El Rancho check out the bar area. it was featured in the film "The Right Stuff". My dear friends mom was the first mermaid girl ever featured at the bar.

Could you tell me how much each transfer R/T is? I believe your way, staying in the SFO area and then taking the PCL shuttle may be much less expensive. I did this before from FLL to the Port of Miami and it was fantastic.

Have a great cruise and tia for the transfer prices.

  2. Luckily the embarcadero area is very flat!!! Does anyone know the approximate cost of transfers from sfo to the pier.....and could you specify if the price you name is oneway or r/t. I am trying to figure out if doing park and fly at the airport ande them picking up the transfer bus at sfo is cheaper than staying at a hotel in sf and then paying the $18 OR $20 bucks per night for 11 nights of parking at the port. TIA.

  3. Actually the last booster seat we bought for Timmy had a removable back. So when we traveled we would just use the seat portion as a booster, but in our own car we would use the entire thing. Ours was made by Graco. It is now supplying safety to the third child to use it. Those things last forever!!!

  4. When we were in FL last summer my son was six and he didn't need a booster. He hasn't needed one here in Cali since he turned six either. What we did do....when he had to have the booster.....was put the booster into the stroller with all the carryons and push all the junk around while he walked. This worked out great at the airport and while waiting to get onto the ship.:)

  5. What I can tell you about walkie talkies I learned on our most recent cruise. They are incredibly overused and really annoying to everyone. I am not trying to start a fight or anything, but please if you must use walkie talkie use them as sparingly as possible.

  6. We do not have a cell phone, but my folks are elderly. When we did the Alaska cruise I bought a prepaid phone card at Walmart. At each port I used a pay phone to check on them. They had the number for the ship if there was any emergency. It worked great for everyone. One thing to remember though, with the prepaid phone cards they charge extra minutes for using pay phones.....just make sure you get one with 120 minutes or more and you will be fine.
