    Soflalaw, I did not know that; always thought it was C&A.  But I see from the screenshot googled for Crown and Anchor Society that they too call it CAS.  Learned something new!   Regards, Carley

    Hi pmoniz, I think I may be on the same cruise later in the year (Nov 22-Dec 2) -- NCL Gem 10 day Southern Caribbean round trip NYC.  I would love to see the freestyle dailies if your cruise is the same itinerary (NYC, San Juan, St Kitts, St Lucia, Antigua, St Thomas, NYC).  It would be great if you could post them here, email them, or even mail to me (would reimburse postage).  Please let me know what you think.  Thanks much.

    BirdTravels, I absolutely loved your review! Although we are not going on a Western Caribbean cruise next, we will be on the Getaway and your day-to-day travel log was so detailed with descriptions, photos, attachments, etc that I have bookmarked it to use as a resource for the Getaway.     Thank you so much for leaving me such a glowing comment!! I really appreciate that. There are a couple ways up the mountain so I suppose it would depend on which route you took. However, I believe that we took the standard or normal route from Barcelona so it will probably be the same route you might take. In that case, I would recommend sitting on the left side of the van as the majority of the route up had the views on the left side while the right side faced the mountain walls. I hope this helps!

    Has anyone had Vista inside cabin 8334?

    Any reviews of this room?

     

    Hi, Matymil -- Not a review but fyi -- even though deck plans/layout show nothing above 8334, another cruisecritic poster who was at the time on the Vista checked and said the vacant space/door above is labeled pool maintenance. Since I hate noise (or even the possibility of noise), I decided to change cabins.

    I am looking for something which includes India in 2018 - they have a few Asia 2018 released, but I haven't seen anything for India yet. Anyone have any info on this destination? Celebrity is already booking it. I hate to do it, but if NCL doesn't release some of the 2018 destinations soon, I may have to jump ship again:(

     

    I know what you mean. Petra Jordan is on my bucket list; Luxor Egypt is on my sisters. I'm still desperately waiting to find out if there will be a Fall 2017 "Eastern Mediterranean & the Gulf from Dubai" (or any port) on any NCL ship -- similar to the March 27, 2017 itinerary on the Star:

     

    20-Day Eastern Mediterranean & The Gulf from Dubai 3/27/2017 (NCL Star)

     

    CRUISE PORTS Embark Dubai (United Arab Emirates); Fujairah (United Arab Emirates); Muscat (Oman); Salalah (Oman); Aqaba (Jordan); Safaga (Egypt); Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt); Haifa (Israel); Iraklion (Crete) (Greece); Dubrovnik (Croatia); Disembark Venice (Italy)

    Petra is on my bucket list; Luxor is on my sisters. Has anyone heard anything or want to speculate that there will be a FALL 2017 "Eastern Mediterranean & the Gulf from Dubai" cruise similar to the Spring March 27, 2017 one on the Star like this:

    On Vista right now - June 21 Athens to Barcelona

    Hi I've checked and there is a locked door labeled pool maintenance. No idea if it will affect noise in your cabin. FYI I've stayed in cabin 9363 right under lido deck and never heard any noise from there! But I could hear neighbor's tv.

     

    Thank you for checking! It is as I imagined - a mechanical room; couldn't imagine a space that size being totally vacant. Appreciate you.
