  1. We were on Panorama from Long Beach for NYE 2020. It was so much fun! I had brought all kinds of hats, horns, necklaces, glasses, etc for our family but they also provided some in all the cabins. There were parties all over the ship, some free champagne toasts, and special items in the dining room. It was great! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

  2. Thanks so much for the info! I'm starting to get excited for our cruise at the end of June. I am a little disappointed because this is to replace the inagural cruise on the Mardi Gras (and then every other canceled cruise after that...) But, I booked flights today and am looking at excursions and getting EXCITED to be cruising again! Our last cruise was over NYE 2019/2020! HA!

  3. We are going in June. Finally using our credits from so many canceled cruises. Did you try the steakhouse? I hate to pay extra for food that isn't good! I usually love the main dining room. Which locations had the best food? Maybe I need to change up where we eat. Thank you!

Now back to our day. Arni came around, and I ordered a Paradise Punch. It was delicious! W got one as well with some nachos, ceviche, and guacamole. Unfortunately the only shade in the cabana at the time was on my side. So W came and sat next to me, crunching on nachos. He stopped with a nacho midair when he felt my hot stare. “What?!?” He asked. “So you’re just gonna crunch those in my face?”. He apologized and said the sun forced him to. Cousins, I have whatever that disorder is, that makes me choose violence when I hear any type of eating sounds. Smacking, crunching, swallowing, and chewing will send me over the edge. I’m sorry, I’ve tried to ignore it, but I can’t help it. I get homicidal. In my head mostly. In lieu of throwing the plate of nachos across the pool deck, I took that time to go and take pictures.  I was just at Paradise Beach in Nov, and not much changed since then. I took a lot of pictures anyway.

I have this as well. It's called misophonia. 🙂

I love your review. Thank you so much for taking the time to put it all together. We don't go until next March, so I have a while to wait. Purple is my favorite color, so I love your hair and your elegant night dress!

  5. Thank you so much for your fabulous review! I love all of the detail! We were to have gone to Alaska this summer but an unfortunate job situation had us change from Alaska this summer to Mardi Gras Spring Break next year. The excursions are way more expensive than I anticipated, so we will save Alaska for later when our funds are more flush.

I am so glad that your job situation has been settled! Congratulations.

I also want to say that I hate that the woman in the hot tub made you feel bad about your body. It's terrible the body image issues that are foisted upon us women. You look fantastic in all your headless shots, and I am amazed at all your physical activities. You inspire me to do more!

They had escargot plates as of 2016 but not on the Panorama for our new year's eve cruise 2019/2020. That was our last cruise and last vacation since Covid! I went back to check my video and the escargo is just in a little bowl in 2020.

Your photos are beautiful and I love the detail of your review. Thank you so much for taking the time to do it! If you ever come to visit Arkansas, I am happy to help with trail suggestions. AR gets mislabeled as AK often but they are worlds apart. :)

How does pricing through Fly2Fun compare vs. booking airline on your own? What are the benefits for using Fly2Fun?

It's been quite a while since I have used the service. I always check what I can get on my own and then check through Fly2Fun. I've had it be less expensive than what I could find on my own or more expensive.

We are! Patti has taken over 4K pictures so far. Going to be a very comprehensive report. The bonus is that Willdra is on the ship with us this week. We spent time together at Paradise Beach in  Cozumel, and had a blast. Look for her review in the coming weeks. 😎

I am looking forward to it! I have 351 more days to meet Mardi Gras and spend them living vicariously through others. 🙂

What's the menu or is it the same on every ship? What do you get to choose from? I am guessing it's not unlimited appetizers and soups or salads like in the main dining room. We will be on Glory in June.

    Here's the steakhouse menu: Steakhouse-scaled.jpg

In my experience they only allow you to get one from each section. It is not unlimited.

  9. Oh my gosh your review is fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing and for making me laugh.

We will be on Mardi Gras next year for spring break with TWO teenagers, but I promise they behave because they have been taught consequences for their actions. I once threw a toy out the car window when the older one wouldn't stop hitting the younger one with it. He is 16 and still talks about that. Parenting win.

I am interested to see that many of you seem to be saying that the MDR food isn't that good. We too have tons of OBC due to canceled cruises (although not directly due to Covid funny enough). I am thinking about just booking us in for all the specialty restaurants. We usually do the steakhouse on the first night, so I'm sad that it may not be that good. Maybe a year from now they will have their act together.
