    We're sailing on 17th July.

The shoreside concierge has emailed me after I spoke to her last week (we're in a Royal Suite). She has confirmed our bar setup and specialty dining, and noted the events we are celebrating onboard (my 50th, and our 10th wedding anniversary).

Other interesting news that might be of interest to RS/PH guests:

"unfortunately, Champagne High Tea has been discontinued across the fleet and will no longer be one of the events onboard."

" we are now providing our top Retreat guests with monogrammed pajamas in sizes S/M and L/XL in tops and bottoms. Please provide your sizes and initials in order to have them available upon arrival."

Has the concierge confirmed whether there is still a dedicated bag drop point for PH/RS guests for your cruise from Southampton?

  2. Hope you enjoy your cruise. We are due to enjoy the same RS experience in two cruises time so I am looking forward to your updates.

Can I ask how far in advance you had contact regarding your pre-cruise preferences.

Would also be interested to know who the Captain is this cruise and the Luminae maitre d' presently is.

    Enjoy your day at sea!

  3. Just for information for those who knew/know HD Sue RICHARDSON, well she's coming back to ship life and takes over as HD on Solstice in a few weeks time. HD Christophe has just gone on vacation (as has Capt Tasos) and Mario is HD for the next cruise, then Sue takes over.

She's currently the resort manager of Labadee for Royal.

Great news! One of the very best.

  4. The Abraham Hicks group had a similar group on Eclipse last September when I travelled on the 14 nights Azores and Canaries cruise. I experienced no issues and all that was noticeable was their use of the theatre on one (maybe) two sea days for a limited period. That really made no difference on a warm weather cruise. Others experiences may differ so perhaps look for reviews of that Cruise from Sept 2014.

  5. Update from Eclipse - as per 'In the Spotlight' for Saturday 15 Sept departure from Southampton:

    Master: Capt Panagiotis Skyligiannis

    Chief Eng: Evangelis Saliaris

    Staff Capt: Theocharis

    Hotel Dir: Sue Richardson

    CD: Stewart Turnbull

    GRM: Bryan Cooper

    Exec Chef: Johan Semmelink

    FBM: Carlos Echaiz

    Capt Club: Aurora Niebla

  6. Does anyone have any more experiences of SS6132 on Constellation or the other M Class ships?

Does the angle of the extra large balcony not deprive you of privacy etc? I have this cabin booked for Constellations TA Westbound in 2008 but am getting cold feet!

Any views would be appreciated - thanks.
