DH and I will be cruising this Christmas. What Christmas type activites will there be? I know the Vista will be decked out as I have sailed during December just not for Christmas???

Just had fun using up over $1000 OBC last week on the Vista and still cashed in some casino winnings. Had a blast!! No Covid outbreaks and super weather!

It has been quite a while since we cruised with a teenager but to accomodate him and to maintain contact with a friend who was caring for our furry family members we set up a data plan that we could use in ports with ATT. Give them a call and see what they have to offer. But, it is also a good time for her to disconnect and make new friends on board that could become friends for life!

Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, etc. do not = the entirety of the country or the world. Even when I went to NOLA a couple of months ago, masks were required at most restaurants. And I live in Texas and most people still wear masks here except for in the podunk, backwards towns.
Eli, I totally think your comment is rude and uncalled for. I live in a podunk, backwards Texas town and proud of it.

Every time I check in for my cruises they have to go see a supervisor regarding my CPAP. Sometimes the supervisor even comes over and ensures that I have it with me. I think in her case she forgot to take it but I am surprised she wasn't questioned about it during check-in.
-
I always pre order a gallon of distilled water for my CPAP. I always carry my own extension cord as I always keep one packed in my case for all my travels. Then it is never an issue.
-
My understanding is that if you change status on a cruise the upgrade starts on the cruise you meet that level. My husband changes on our Sept cruise. I just looked at our planner and it has him upgraded for the cruise already.

They need to verify concerning oxygen beforehand since anyone on oxygen is not allowed to cruise because of Covid.
I realize the restrictions on oxygen now but they have always checked me way before COVID

I travel with my CPAP and always take an extension cord and preorder distilled water. However, I am always delayed for a few minutes when we check in so they can verify I don't have oxygen with it!! Just a small irritant that I definitely will not mind in September
-
I am always flagged when I check in due to my CPAP. They go get someone or bring someone to me and then send me on my merry way. Never been a problem

Got my 2d one today and DH got his first yesterday. We are getting ready to cruise!! And cause I miss the sound of the Gulf and oceans, I have booked a weeks stay in Galveston for April. DH knew I was getting desparate for the water when I went to Houston for a VA apointment and returned by going thru Galveston. Added a couple of hour to m drive!!

Just received final payment to my CC for flight and port taxes for cruise that was scheduled for 21Appril. Received FCC about 2 months ago. Patience was a virtue.

When was you cruise scheduled and when was it cancelled? We are still waiting for the taxes and port charges for our June 7 cruise that HAL cancelled on 4/16.
Our cruise was for 21 April. We have received our FCC but not port taxes or flight

I applaud him for stepping up and telling it exactly like it is. Unfortunately right now, nobody knows. In addition, I appreciate the fact that he has stated that August cruises are not set in stone which should offset all the criticism should they be canceled.

Vista 29 August 2020 out of Galveston providing earlier August cruises go well
-
I have a late August cruise out of Galveston. Asked DH if he was willing to wear a mask if necessary. Surprisingly he said yes. It would be foolish not to expect changes but modifying the buffet would be the best thing to happen to cruise lines. However, if there is one case of COVID on any ship prior to our sailing I will be the first to cancel.
-
Can't even begin to say! It could depend on how the scheduled August cruises go. However, I recommend if you hear of one case of COVID on any of those cruises, cancel immediately. I am scheduled our of Galveston on 29 August and am skeptical that it will happen. There are too many variables to even make a guess.
