Hi Everyone,

I am Walter from Nashville sailing with my partner David on this New Years Cruise on the Equinox.  We hope to meet new friends while on board.  I know they are hosting daily an evening event at the martini bar around 8.   I have been on the equinox a few times, so if anyone has any questions about the ship, please let me know.  You may find us dressed alike quite a bit.  : )   Happy Holidays to everyone and can't believe our sailing is less than a week!!

Just back from the Reflection.  Sadly we noticed a decline in the dining room food as well. The choices were also less than prior cruises.  The service for the most part was still excellent except for one night.  Food is subjective but we will be looking at Virgin and other cruiseline options.

In the past, maybe just over 3-6 months ago, you did have the option. 

 

I called the other day and wasn't on hold that long.  800-722-5491 was the number given to me by the agent after I spent an hour being on hold and passed around 4 times, including once to Royal.  Oops. 

 800-722-5491 tried to get me to take out a medical alert. Wasn't Celebrity cruises. : )   

I also received this today. I feel it must be a scam.

Have a great cruise will be virtually following as we are on this ship on March 11th for the 3 night sailing too.   

Sailing on this short 3 night cruise with my partner David.  We would love to meet up with other guys for drinks and good conversation.   Look forward to getting away and enjoying a brief break.

I feel for you.  I am sorry some of the comments here aren't nice.  You arrived within 30 min of your check in time.  Sounds like the 10:00 people arriving really put everyone behind. I am sorry but hopefully you will be on board soon and put this bumpy start behind. Bon Voyage and thanks for letting us know about your experience.  Keep us posted on how the rest of your day goes.

Really enjoyed your review and photos!  I know the only bad thing about a cruise is when it comes to an end.   I sail on the edge in one week also solo and very excited!

We arrived about 1 hr before our scheduled time and they took us right thru. They are using the times to avoid backlogs, but try getting there early at 11 am and see what happens. I bet they they let you on.

We are in the second day of cruising with my dear wife! Feedback, so are:

 

1. Embarkation:

a. The ground crews at Terminal 25 are mostly very new and not familiar with the boarding process and procedures. If you are a suite holder, cut the lines and go to the  front and check in through the very expedited and wonderful boarding process. We were on board within 15-20 min of our arrival.

B. The baggage handlers were awesome and knew their stuff. The green shirt Celebrity crew were helpful, but need more training.

C. Room was ready as soon as we boarded at noon. Amazing!

D. Luggage arrived by 2 pm. Nice!

 

2. Cabin

A. We stayed in a Celebrity Sky Suite and it was so worth the upgrade, we have stayed with inside cabins to now having The Retreat Suite cabin class access and it was so worth it.

B. Amazing amounts of storage.

C. Love he butler and cabin attendant.

D. Bathroom with tub for two and separate commode room and double sink we awesome. The window/mirror looking out into the bedroom was wonderful.

 

3. Staff 

A. Having a butler with Sky Suite was amazing. All we were missing was the Queen’s Corgis. John was beyond helpful at all times.

B. The entire ships crew is excited and thrilled to have us back and we’re awesome.

C. Captain Kate is truly one of the most accomplished leaders on the high seas! Honored to be on her second restart voyage!

Great start I was assigned a horrible arrival time of 3 p.m..do you think as a suite guest they will let me on sooner. I am loving your start to your review.  I hope my question doesn't sound snooty at all as I would be happy with an inside stateroom just to be sailing again. I just got a great deal.  Enjoy Enjoy each moment 

I loved the video so much of the passengers embarking and the crew member saying Welcome Home!! As a huge Celebrity cruiser brought joyful tears to my eyes!!

HI Paul and Edward!!  I am following along as usual and love your writing skills Paul as you make us all feel like we are right there with you.  I am sailing out of Vancouver in just over 2 weeks on the Eclipse to Hawaii and curious about walking to the port from the hotel as well.   Bon Voyage and do hope to sail with you guys some day!!
