A Carnival rep called me tonight and I decided to rebook for Celebration 2023.  Apparently construction has started at the shipyard but we'll see how progress comes along especially once operations/cash flow resume.  Also, the rep indicated Mardi Gras will be in the US in late December in order to prepare for Spring sailings.  We'll see!

I haven't seen any published reports about Celebration's construction status either which makes me think it can be a candidate for cancellation for financial reasons.  My Mardi Gras cruise was officially cancelled this AM.  Perhaps I'll reschedule it for 2023 but I was looking forward to sailing the latest ship.  We'll see.

Looking to reschedule my Mardi Gras February 2021 to Celebration February 2023.  There's so much uncertainty that it's possible cruising will not become "more" normal until 2022 when vaccinations/therapeutics are more available.  Any updates on the construction progress for the new ship?  Just my luck, Carnival will scrap plans for this ship and I'll be stuck rescheduling ANOTHER cruise 🙂

Thank you for the responses.  We will have trip insurance but it may be better to take the much later flight.  I would hate for us to be rushed/worried at the end of the vacation.

We're researching flight options for our summer cruise on Anthem of the Seas.   The cruise returns on a Thursday AM.  If we self disembark, is it likely we can make an 11am flight from Newark?  There are later flights but they are significantly more expensive and we prefer not to fly out of New York airports.

Any tips/recommendations would be appreciated.

We're booked on our first RC sailing for next summer and will be on the Anthem of the Seas.  We're in room 9187 and according to the deck plan, there's not a cabin next to it.  If there's an opportunity, is it possible to determine if there's a utility or storage room next to it?  We're a little concerned about potential noise and would need to change cabins if the location seems questionable.

Has anyone sailed in this cabin on either ship?  It's an interior room but there's a wall next door.  I'm curious if there's noise due to it being a storage or utility room. Looking forward to my first RC cruise!

We're sailing from Miami but the most reasonable flights are into West Palm Beach (~$200 savings per person) Ship scheduled to arrive at 8am. Assuming we self disembark and grab a cab to MIA for car rental, do you think we can make a 1:30 flight? There's a 12:30 flight but that seems like a stretch. Any other options to get to west palm beach? There are 9 of us traveling so we would need two cars and assumes everyone leaves on time. Our ship returns on a Saturday (if it makes a difference)

Has anyone had trouble applying ebay digital cards as payment for your cruise if it was booked through a travel agent? My upcoming cruise was booked by a travel agent therefore I'm unable to make payment on Carnival.com. The Digital gift card can be used on Carnival.com but it has this statement --- TRAVEL AGENTS, AGENCIES OR OTHER TRAVEL INTERMEDIARY SERVICE CANNOT BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS DIGITAL GIFT CARD.

I have contacted ebay and PayPal and neither can answer the question. I have contacted my travel agent. She hasn't experienced this situation in the past but she's getting information.

Worse case, I can apply the gift card to my onboard purchases but I would prefer to apply it to the cost of the cruise.

For the Carnival tour, how much time was given for shopping and lunch? Approximately how many people were on this tour? I'm weighing if we should schedule a private tour vs. Carnival sponsored. Just concerned if we'll be able to recruit enough people to fill a private tour vs. being accountable for total cost. Thank you!

We're sailing Vista in August and in the midst of researching excursions. I understand many cruisers use private tour companies. However, is there a website/link that shows passenger reviews of Carnival's excursions from previous Breeze or Sunshine sailings? I assume some of the Vista excursions were offered for those ships. Also, it would be much appreciated if early Vista cruisers can write reviews if they book excursions through Carnival :) Thank you!

Our Feb cruise stops in Ocho Rios and we're deciding between these two tours. I've read the Blue Hole is beautiful and DRF is fun but too crowded. My BF would love doing the jumps at BH but I can't swim. We're leaning towards DRF so we both can participate in an activity but may not enjoy the crowds or hassle of walking up a human chain. Would I be able to explore the scenery and possible take a dip (in shallow) water at the Blue Hole or should we consider DRF instead?

This will be our first time sailing out of Port Canaveral and need help choosing a pre-cruise hotel. Both the Courtyard and Comfort Inn offer reasonable rates but would like opinions on which is the better property (location, CLEANLINESS, service). We will not have a car therefore we need to be able to safely walk to shops and restaurants. We will also need shuttle service to the port (plan to use a shuttle service from MCO to the airport upon arrival). Any recommendations would be appreciated

I'm considering this itinerary aboard the Sunshine for October ( I need to make a decision & reservations pretty quickly :))

Which ports or tours would you recommend as being easier for someone with walking limitations? I'm considering traveling with my 75 YO parent but she has difficulties walking long distances. I'm a little concerned this itinerary maybe too port intensive but I REALLY want to sail the Med and it would be a great experience for her too :D
