If we get dropped off in the downtown area after an excursion, how far is it back to the ship?

I do the same.  I just print the 2 pages I need to send in.   It has worked every time.

Does Carnival serve any kind of Hard Seltzer?  They are low in Carbs and if they did it would make me very happy....

We will be in La Romana early Dec. on the Horizon.  We are thinking of doing a day pass at Dreams Dominicus La Romana.  Has anyone been to this resort?  Looking for any input.  We are also wondering how far from the port and what a taxi might cost.  Thanks for any help..

Thank you very much for the replies   I used points to book the hotel, so I canceled and rebooked at the Holiday Inn POM..,I have stayed in this area a number of times so I am comfortable in this area.

I have done that and I can see a Shell gas station across the street, but I can't seem to find out if it sells beer and wine.  Some states we have been you can buy it at gas stations(not mine).

Hi everybody, 
I have a cruise booked for next Feb. and have booked at the Holiday Inn Ft Lauderdale-Airport on Sheridan street.  Will we be able to walk places from the hotel?  What I am wondering is will we be able to walk to pick up some beer for the night and a couple bottles of wine for the cruise or walk somewhere for dinner?  Or will we have to Uber everywhere?

Any info on the hotel would be appreciated.

I watched a few videos on you tube from La Romano and didn't see a pool.  Did I miss it.  I would love if they had a pool.   Can anyone else verify for me...We are sailing on Carnival

Sorry I didn't respond . I just saw this post...We didn't go to the resort for the day. We stayed in port. I was not confortable taking a taxi. We will be in Roatan next year again and are thinking of booking one of the resorts again but I will book one that includes transportation.

I did the bus system a few years ago. I was traveling with my elderly parents. I traveled all over Bermuda by myself. It was easy and I felt safe. I would do it again in a heart beat.

It will depend on whether you sail before or after the Getaway dry dock. Enjoy!

When is the Getaway going into drydock?

We will be in Roatan March 7 with the NCL Getaway and are spending the day in Pristine Bay Beach Resort. Has anyone been to this resort for the day recently? Any info would be appreciated.

We did the YTD on the Pride with a group of 12. We didn't have a hard time. We had to wait a few times but we just hang out at the closest bar(we had no kids with us so no hurry). They had 2 tables set up for 12 every night, so we had the same wait staff every night. We all met about 7:00 and went to dinner 7:30ish. We are planning to do this again for our next cruise.

I do think that if Mt. Airy gives us an inside cabin, it will cost a lot to upgrade to a balcony…

When I called CAS I got pricing for 3 different cruises, The upgrade was the same on all three cruises. $300 per person to upgrade to a balcony...

After you pick up your certificate you can call CAS for all the info....My local casino couldn't give me any info on this. They didn't know anything other than I was to come and pick the certificate up. When we got to our casino an open bar and some food was set up...it was very nice...This was so easy to get info and book this cruise. CAS gave me all the info I needed to make my decision on which cruise to book. I called a couple of times and got pricing for a couple of cruises. it was very easy.

WE also get free drinks while playing in the casino. I am not sure how this part works. I don't cruise till after Thanksgiving.
