  1. We have sailed on Seabourn once before but recently have preferred  Regent to other luxury lines.  We are looking at a 2024 cruise on Quest for 14 days from Montreal to Miami.  Our big concern is that all the recent reviews except for one are 3 stars or less on this site.  Has the Seabourn product deteriorated or is the issue something else.  Any info would be helpful.

    Thanks.

  2. We'll be on the Dawn later this month and received an email from Silversea concerning their health and safety protocols.  One of the items concerns a daily temperature check by your Butler every morning in the privacy of your cabin.  Has anyone who has recently cruised on Silversea had this happen and how did it work so that you don't have to wait around for your butler to show up?

  3. We're doing a 48 day B2B from Sydney to Tokyo in Jan 2022 and need two visas.  One is for Australia: an Electronic Travel Authorization which can be acquired online and the other is for Vietnam, which can be acquired from the Vietnamese consulate in your area.  For us, our TA arranged for a visa service provided by Regent.

You said you called HAL.  Was your cruise booked directly with HAL or was there a TA involved?  We have had our TA call several times and they still tell them not in process yet.  We cancelled our two June cruises on March 17 through the big box store, both were paid in full, too. All dates are before yours.   I'm wondering if we can deal directly with HAL when we call or have to still go through the TA.

I booked through a TA but called HAL directly and eventually was transferred to a very helpful gentleman who provided me with the info.  Good Luck with your refund.

  5. A bit of good news for those awaiting a refund.  On March 30, I cancelled our Sep 27th cruise.  Today, I called HAL to get an update and was pleasantly surprised to learn that my $3500 refund was processed on Wed May 27 and should appear on my credit card within a few days.

  6. We're booked on the Star for an 11 day cruise in November. We declined the beverage package for this reason. I enjoy my martinis, however my wife does not drink alcohol. Since both people in a cabin must get the package, my gratuity would come to $35 or more per day. There is no way I could drink that much and still enjoy all the other things going on on-board the ship. Therefore, I'll gladly pay per drink.

  7. My wife and I had a wonderful cruise on Seabourn last December and are looking at a Silversea cruise on the Silver Cloud for this December. I would appreciate hearing from people who have experienced both lines and can compare the two.

    Thanks:)

  8. Thought I'd let everyone know about a great deal I just booked for the April 11, 2010 transatlantic on the Azamara Journey.

    The deal includes:

    A balcony cabin by myself

Free round trip air from, in my case, Las Vegas.

One night pre-cruise at the Wyndham-Miami Airport

    Transfers to the ship

This is a 14 day T/A crossing with stops in the Azores, Gibralter and a couple of stops in Spain, ending in Barcelona.

All of the above with virtually no single supplement for about $160 per day including all taxes and fees (and Azamara now includes gratuities in the cruise fare).

What a deal. I don't expect it to last very long.
