I tried to book this tour for next February and they told me they are sold out. I was definitely shocked as well as disappointed. Is there another tour company similar to Gone Caribe?

I have booked a Havana Cabana room on Horizon for 2025. What did you find to be different/disappointing in Celebration's Havana Cabana/Havana area? TIA!
Havana area on Horizon is much bigger and is at the back of the ship. It has a much bigger pool than Celebration, more deck chairs and two hot tubs. There was always a security guard on duty keeping people out who did not belong there. Celebration had the towel guy checking wrist bands and he was not always around. We also did not get the frozen fruit on Celebration as we did on Havana. We loved Celebration but would not stay in Havana again on that ship.

Great review. We were on Celebration March 19 and did the same itinerary. Beautiful ship, great food and great entertainment. We stayed in a Havana Cabana which was disappointing compared to Horizon Havana area. We had a great cruise otherwise and loved the ship.

Carnival does not serve Captain Morgan anymore. I am a big fan of Captain and they now carry another spiced rum which I do not like at all.

Interested in experience/reviews also. We are planning on heading to Maho in two weeks.

You can take an island tour or you can go hiking. Since St John is approximately 2/3 National Park, nature and history are the main attractions.
The National Park has hiking trails maps on their website, and for an island tour we thoroughly enjoyed a tour from taxi driver Charles Dorr who calls himself Charlie's Angels.
How do I get in touch with Charles Dorr? We are looking for a private tour in St. John in March.

Definitely Deck 5. We loved the Havana area!

Just returned from Half Moon Cay. I think we paid $30 for a clamshell. Definitely worth it as there is no shade on the beach. Get there early and there should be plenty available.

Piano Bar update - the main guy is down so it’s a fill in. He’s playing classical music. It’s not your typical piano bar vibes. That’s why it’s been empty I’m guessing.
My husband and I were on this ship last week. We stayed in Havana and loved it (cabin 5204, right near you). Piano guy was good but I saw on instsgram that he tested positive for Covid either Thursday or Friday. Bartenders in Havana are great. Very fast and efficient and made great drinks.

Just know that once you go suite, it's always going to be difficult to drop back down.
This....Its not a horrible deal and if you break down per person in the cabin its really not bad for 6 days. We would probably take it mostly because it appears to be much cheaper than purchasing same cabin outright and we do enjoy a good suite!
Either way, have a blast!!!
It is much cheaper than if we purchased it outright. Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Probably going to stay with our original Havana cabana.

We are sailing on the Carnival Horizon in two weeks in a Havana Cabana on deck 5. We just got a call with an offer to upgrade to a Havana Suite also on deck 5. The total cost is $550 for a six night cruise. Is it worth it??

I am also on that cruise and it is showing up in my cruise manager. 25 more days!

It depends on what rate you booked as to whether you'll lose your deposit. If it's telling you you're gonna lose $250, I would just wait for them to cancel, and they will cancel, then you'll be made whole. You just have to wait a while for the refund.
ETA: You could try calling and see if they'll waive the fee, if they say they will, get it in writing.
I booked under a past guest rate well over a year ago and that rate is fully refundable.
Thanks for the info! We booked this about a year ago and I cannot remember what kind of rate we got. I will give them a call and see what they will do for me.

I'm booked for the Panorama on October 17 which I have a refundable deposit on and I'm going to be cancelling today.
Cruising in any capacity is not going to resume for a very, very long time.😢
I agree. We are going to cancel our October 31 cruise. I tried to do it online but there was a $250 charge for cancelling. If I call Carnival directly will they waive that fee? I know I can wait until they cancel the cruise but I would like to get my deposit back and the money we have put down on it sooner rather than later.

Great start to your review! We will be on the Horizon to the Southern Caribbean next year so I'm taking notes!
We will be on this cruise as well in October. Looking forward to the rest of your review. I never knew about the ducks!

We are on this cruise also. Arriving in Miami Saturday morning. Cannot wait!!

7:45 ferry there, 12:40 return will get you back around 1:10. Most folks going will be on that ferry, others may take the 9:00 ferry, not sure when the ship excursion goes.
The ferry terminal is a short walk to the left as you leave the port.
Thanks Blue Water!

We are sailing on the Escape next month. I have been to the Baths before but my kids have not. Thinking of doing it on our own this time. We are in port 7-3. If I get the first ferry out of Virgin Gorda, will it be less crowded at the Baths? What ferry should we get coming back? Will I be able to find Speedy's when we arrive in port? Thanks in advance for your help.

I made them for the specality dining. I do not have the option to book the complimentary dining rooms, only specality. I am sailing 10/22.
We are on the same sailing! I tried to book Bayamo for 8 and it only let me book for 6. Hoping we can add two more when we board the ship. Does anyone know?

We are thinking of doing a day sail to St. John in October with tours and water sports in the virgin islands dot com on their snorkel adventure aboard New Horizons. We are traveling with my niece and nephew who are 7 and 9. Has anyone done this with kids? Will they enjoy it? Any other info you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm looking at Google maps and am not 100% sure where the taxis drop off. I'm assuming in the roundabout in front of the Lucayan?
Either way where do you access the free beach section?
Thanks!
We were there last week. The taxi drops you off in front of the casino. Walk through the casino and out the back door. You will see a security stand over to the right which is where you can buy your day pass and they give you a bracelet. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is very nice. Not too crowded. We had a great day there.

We are 0 for 2. Missed last October and missed again last week on the Sunshine. Water was too choppy for the tenders. They made the decision at 5:00 p.m. when we were supposed to be leaving Nassau so we stayed in Nassau until 9:00 p.m. and had a sea day the next day.
-
Craig Quiter will be onboard until Oct 10 and then Russell Villarin will take over. I don't know either of them so I can't help there.
Thank you! I think we saw Russell on another cruise.

Anyone just off the Sunshine who can tell me who is playing in the Piano Bar? It is one of our favorite places to hang out.
In port until 10:00PM. What to do after the Beach?
in Aruba

What time should we leave Palm Beach to get back to the ship for an 11:00 departure time?
