Not to mention that JW blends are actually blends of single-malts - Blue being their finest selections of rare malts - one in 10,000 casks are chosen according to the JW site. Even the JW Black, a very affordable quaff, is a blend of 12 yo malts.

I like both and find a good blend, like a Chivas 18 or a JW Black and up, more interesting than some of the single-malts I've had. Cheers!

We just came back from the Enchanted, my dad and uncle enjoyed double Chivas 18 ($38 each) several times as well as another I can't recall. The premier package was well worth it if you want to try a variety of the higher end Scotches.

    thanks for the information.

Can't understand why they won't allow you to reserve dining in advance using OBC - oh well we will just have to take our chances and hope for the best. We are a party of 6, so hopefully they can accommodate us.

    Thanks!!

We were in the same position, a good amount of obc and wanted to book the restaurants and were unable to. We did upgrade to Premier once onboard, so we had 2 specialty restaurants included, so we wanted to take advantage of the package. We were a party of 7, so we went to Rudi's Catch the first night and had no problem getting a table. Then we went around to see if we could book another restaurant and did get a table at Sabatini's but never went. The maitre d wasn't great. He was the only negative for us on the cruise. We stopped by, he said he could give us a table at 5:00 on the day we were in St. Thomas, however, they put the reservation on San Juan day(we did the food tour so wouldn't be hungry enough for a big meal). When we stopped by to make the change he was very confrontational. At the end, he said he would give us whatever we wanted, but we canceled the reservation. We did stop by the Crown Grill and was told by maitre d to return the next day and he could get us a table and lo and behold he did. Giovanni, Alexa and assistant were all great in the Crown.

So, they will likely be able to accommodate you, but you may have to be flexible in dining times. We dined around 6 in both restaurants.

Also, you are able to use the credits in the casino. When you sign in the machine asks if you want to charge to your account, if you say yes, it asks how much, they transfer the funds to the machine you are on and you play. If you have obc, it just deletes from the amount.

  3. We were on the same sailing and after 22 cruises it was the best cruise for me. We had a row of balconies where we had the dividers removed and made good use of the balconies. Absolutely loved the Retreat Pool. We were Premier which was great. We dined at Rudi's, Crown Grill (staff was amazine, Pub, Gigi's and Santorini our MDR and everything was great. Simply, the best, most relaxing vacation in a long time. We just booked the 10 day 4/9/25 we liked it so much!

  4. We are leaving tomorrow with a stay at hotel. Hoping to board early. We were thinking of trying to get a spot in the Sanctuary but sounds like lots of people will be trying. Will see if we decide to get there early. In any event, I think we will be happy just being on the ship. Hoping for great weather and nice relaxing time.

Hope to meet many from the Roll Call.

    So excited!!

  5. Same as above. I had seen the option to upgrade then when we decided to it wasn't available. I did call and they would be able to do it, however, I declined because I have a lot of onboard credit and it didn't make sense to pay for it when I have $400+ obc available and haven't spent any of it yet.

However, they were able to do it when I called very easily.

What do you mean by 'scotch'....if you are thinking of single malt whisky, neither Chivas 18 yo or JW are such!

Well let's see, I am not a "Scotch" drinker, perhaps I use the term loosely. I thought I was clear my dad and uncle enjoy Chivas 18 yo or Johnnie Walker - if that means something other than Scotch I have no idea. I may not be sophisticated enough to know the difference and certainly don't care to be. I simply wanted to know where they could get Chivas 18 yo or JW. Seems simple enough to me.

I have been studying the bar menu with intent. The Walker gold label reserve and Chivas 18 year are covered in the premier package, though I’m not sure which bars on the ship will actually have it.

I’m sure it should be simple to become acquainted with those locations once you are onboard. And if not… there is always OceanNow delivery.

As mentioned upthread, blue label is $30, you can get it but as with any drink above $20 you will have to pay the difference.

    Thanks for clarification!

  8. We will be sailing Enchanted in April and my dad and uncle are scotch drinkers. They enjoy Chivas 18 yo and Johnnie Walker Gold and Blue. Wondering if anyone knows if the better scotches are available at most bars or only certain ones? Willing to upgrade but want to make sure that they can get it in most bars.

  9. We are more than 10 wks out before our sailing and says the excursion is sold out, we are on a wait list. Does anyone know what happens in this case, where there is a high demand excursion? Does the cruise line try to add to it  by way of another boat/bus or are you just tough out of luck?

It may only appear that you are being charged and your credit card will not be affected.  It doesn't matter what your CC Member Level is.  Does your profile reflect Platinum in the App?

If you are charged, you can recover the shipping charge as Refundable OBC.

You can also call Princess and see if someone there can enter the order and not charge you.  You will read about various options in the thread on the new App, but these are the main options.  You can also try another day and it might work.

    Thank you

  11. I am trying to get the Medallion ordered and sent to me, however, it's saying I have to pay shipping charges. I have the Plus package and I am Platinum, it doesn't give an option to select. Does anyone know if I will be charged?

  12. Can anyone tell me if they have had good experience with booking a future cruise while onboard a cruise? Do you usually get a better deal? And, I am almost certain of this answer, but will put it out there anyway...Can you use onboard credits for a future cruise down payment?

I give up...you are obviously not looking at the same link picture as me.  The "Canada" link does in fact show a cutout that will handle 3 lenses...it actually shows 3. The *second* (US) link only shows a small rectangle in the upper left corner that cannot possibly accommodate 3 lenses.

Regardless...have a great rest of your day.

The one I am looking at doesn't appear to interfere with the camera. I am more concerned about it not working and having to remove it. Often, if I have my phone and key fob in close proximity my car won't open when I get close to it. I have to separate the two, so I was worried that the medallion and the phone might cause the same problem and the medallion not work. That's my concern. Do you have any experience or any thoughts on functionality? I would appreciate any help. It seems convenient unless it interferes with the phone or it peels off too easily. There are other options, but I thought it would be convenient in that I always have the phone with me.

    Any thoughts?
