  1. We want to sail with Celebrity through the Panama Canal.

Because we want an aft balcony cabin we know that we will have to book early to get the cabin and deck we want.

When does Celebrity open bookings for Panama Canal sailings.

Any ideas on which is better, to book directly with Celebrity or with an agent.

Does it help at all to have Elite status?

    Thanks for your help

We just returned from a cruise and took a taxi from the Panamerican Cruise Terminal to San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport or Aeropuerto Internacional de Luis Muñoz Marín (SJU).

    Our cost was $26.00

    The breakdown was as follows:

    Zone 1 = $19.00

    Gas Surcharge = $2.00

Luggage = $5.00 ($1.00 per bag, note that this includes "carry on")

    Total $26.00

    15% tip =$4.00

Total from Cruise Terminal to Airport = $30.00

This was in a large van. Driver was fine, no problems noted. __________________

  5. I have sailed a number of times with RC and my CPAP. The first couple of times I had to remind the steward of my request for an extension cord, which was then brought up. However, on one cruise they could not find an extension cord and an engineer brought one up from the deck department.

After that I now bring my own travel dedicated 20 foot cord and have had no problems. I use bottled water and have not had any problems. If time permits you could purchase distilled before boarding and bring it with you. However, I have not had any problems with using bottled water. I also bring a small travel power strip so that we can charge phones, cameras, etc. from one of the desk outlets and use the other for the extension cord. I would NOT use an adapter to use the 220 outlet as the extension cords in the U.S. are rated at 120. A higher voltage could cause a problem. If you are unsure about using your own power cord, have a ships engineer look at it. Finally, I unplug the CPAP in the morning or after a nap, roll the cord up and clear the deck so that no one trips on the cord. Bringing your own cord is a plus if you are staying in a hotel either before or after your cruise.
